Tolls on the roads from Orlando airport to Disney? Help!

Can anyone please tell me if the toll roads from the Orlando airport to Disney(staying at WL) is strictly an electronic toll? Last time we went to Disney we flew into Tampa and got suckered into renting an "ez pass" type thing at $7 dollars a day. There were no tolls from Tampa to Disney!! I really want to avoid that if I can. I keep seeing the warnings from all the rental car companies about the tolls. Someone help please!!

The rental agency/ toll authority has a program where a photo is taken of your license plate, and your credit card is billed the toll. The agency charges a small fee for the service. Ask at the rental counter when you arrive.

Stay to the right when a toll comes up and you will be able to pay with cash. Get a receipt for proof of payment in case a dispute comes up with the rental company. You don't have to get the transponder if you don't want to. Don't get suckered into it because they say,"the Florida turnpike is an e-toll road only" Budget says something like that.

Bring the quarters too since some tolls are unmanned.

Florida toll roads still only accept Florida transponders. The systems are: Sunpass, Leeway, and E-pass.

Most of the toll plazas accept all three of these. (added later) All toll plazas in the Orlando area take quarters.

That completely depends on the rental agency. Check each company's policy carefully.

Ramp tolls (if you encounter any) are the only booths not manned so be sure you have some quarters. Going to Disney if you use exit 3 off the 417 is a ramp toll.

The only electronic toll in the area that I can think of off the top of my head is off the Turnpike South going to the Beachline West.

Leeway is for Lee County (Fort Myers area) bridge tolls.

Tolls depend on which way you decide to drive. If you take the Beach Line (528) from the north exit of the airport, there is a $1.00 and a $.75 toll (2 stops). It's been a while but the last time we took the south exit and took the 417 (the way the Magical Express goes). I believe it's more money, and more stops. As a NYS thruway driver it's hard to get used to stopping every couple miles and pay more money instead of just paying once for the entire trip.

I'm not aware of any toll road system anywhere that doesn't take some sort of currency and requires you to be a registered user of that public road. Though some may not give change....possibly on the 417, can't remember exactly.

OP, which car company were you using?
I just checked the Budget site.... If you actually use the fast lane, you are charged the toll plus a convenience fee of $2.95 per day...I am quite sure that this is not per day of your trip, but per day that you use the fast lane. In other words, if you drive through 4 different fast lane tolls in a given day, you'll be charged those tolls plus an extra $2.95 for the day, if you don't drive through any tolls, you don't get charged anything at all. And there is a maximum convenience charge of $14.75 per month.
If a company charged you $7 per day for your entire trip when you didn't even drive through a toll, I would dispute that with my credit card company.

RT417 which is the route from the southside of the airport has two tolls between the airport and exit 6, the first disney exit. $1.25 at each, with an attendant so change is available. Exit 3 is the second disney exit, brings you in further into the complex, has one more toll booth, same set up. No need to worry about E-tolls, just have some cash available.

So, there are tolls, otherwise why are you getting a bill? I get a bill (via my credit card) for EX-pass.

That's why I'm leary about renting again. Their price with our BJ's membership is about $350 for a minivan for a whole week. I can't find anything better
