Toll Roads...

Hello,

I remember reading somewhere that there are a few Toll roads in Florida.
Travelling from Orlando Airport to our villa will we pass through a toll?
If so how much roughly will it be?
And is this the same on the way back to the airport?

will depend on where the villa is and if you are arriving at sanford airport or orlando international

tolls range from 50c to $1

i think from orlando airport to disney we spend around $3 max i would say

Oh gosh not expensive at all then, so not really worth worrying about really, just makesure we have a bit of change on us.
I think i am used to the rip off prices over here, including the congestion charge in London A few $ is nothing to worry about then

If you have booked with Thomson you will arrive at Sanford Airport not Orlando International. Sanford Airport is about 45 minutes drive taway. The cost of tolls from Sanford is approx $5.00 You can avoid the tolls altogether from Sanford by using the I4. This will take you longer though.

I think we would rather pay the toll and get there quicker

Not only are the toll roads quicker, but for first-time drivers in the US, they're quieter and easier to navigate, too. Whilst you'll certainly use it whilst you're there, the busy I-4 would be a baptism of fire. Better to get used to driving on the quieter toll roads before taking that on.

You might want to practice throwing coins into a washing basket or something similar for the toll booths where you do not require change.
