So, the word toll in 'Toll Plaza' on the way to MK sounds to me as if there is a fee involved. If I'm on my way to pick up a rental car at the CCC do I have to pay to get past the Toll Plaza? What if I've already paid parking in another park that day?

There would be no parking fee if you already paid parking at another WDW park that day.

Are you staying on property? Parking is free for all WDW resort guests.

I don't know if they would charge you for parking if you told them you were picking up a car at the CCC.

Explain what you are doing. If they "insist" on your paying a parking fee at the toll booth, now say you changed your mind and don't want to go on. They will direct you to a U-turn which incidentally will take you past the Car Care Center. Bear right after the booth and left at next light that allows a left is a U-turn.

Save your parking receipt and have it with you if you want to lot hop.
