Tokyo Dining?...worth it?

Paying OOP wondering if Tokyo Dining is worth it?

I like Tokyo Dining. It is not the best sushi I have ever had ( I am a big sushi fan and have it at least once a week), but it is still pretty good. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is pretty nice as well. If you are not a fan of sushi then the menu options are pretty good as well. I do Tokyo Dining often and would say that it Disney terms, it is worth paying OOP.

What does "worth" mean to you? Financial return? Atmosphere? "Food quality" Experience?
We very much enjoyed our food, the atmosphere and the experience at Tokyo Dining. It was worth it to us. YMMV

Tokyo Dining is lovely, but if you are looking for great sushi (and you are paying OOP anyway), I would suggest going to the Swan and eating at Kimono's. It's hands-down the best sushi on WDW property. It's a quick boat ride from the IG entrance/exit at EP.

We love teppan edo, the Ristorant house in the same building. Tokyo dining was only ok for us.

I love Tokyo Dining but if paying OOP (not on Dining Plan) I would check out their lunch specials first to see if there was anything I liked at a better price.

I agree on doing it for lunch - if you can get a seat by the window you can watch the guys on the Taiko drums!

We went for the first time last December, we were on the dining plan. We enjoyed the food a lot!! In fact DH and I are considering going and paying OOP when we go in November since we won't be on the dining plan. The food was that good to us.

Thanks for this tip! I love sushi and I think I'll check this place out when I'm at YC in August. Do we need a reservation?
