I dont' see much mentioned about Tokyo Dining in EP? Is it good? Or should I do Nine Dragons? Just looking for asian food, not particular of which kind. Thanks.

I think it depends on if you like being served at a table or enjoy possibly sitting with others at a hibachi grill. We loved Teppan Edo because we enjoy the entertainment and taste of hibachi. Here are some photos of the food we enjoyed at Teppan Edo.

Have never been to Nine Dragons. Went to Tepon Edo 4/08 for first time and kids (13, 10 & 6) loved it so much we are going back this trip.

Nine Dragons was worse than disgusting....no way would I recommend that to anyone...Teppan Edo is very good, Y&Y in AK is awesome!

I thought the original poster asked about Tokyo Dining, not Teppan Edo. Teppan Edo is the one with habachi grills, etc. Does anyone have information on Tokyo dining?? I haven't been there personally but understood that it is more of a sushi sort of place... anyone??

We're going to try Tokyo Dining next month. None of us are sushi fans, but they have tempura and steak as well.

My family has always eaten at nine dragons & loved it, especially after the menu change. :lovestruc The honey sesame chicken is awesome!! Skip dessert though!

This coming trip in Sept/Oct we decided to try TD instead of ND. We don't eat sushi but the tumpura sounds awesome. I can't wait to try it. I've heard great things, especially the view from the restaurant & how relaxed the restaurant is. :cloud9:

Also, I am one of those that feels hibachi is the biggest waste of a meal, so I won't comment on TE.
IMO, if you want hibachi, go to your local restaurant... it will taste identical & will be half the price, plus you'll get to try one of WDW's better restaurants. :thumbsup2

Tokyo Dining is a wonderful dining experience!...Traditional Japanese service: respectful, polite, graceful, and the food is good as well! IMHO it is the most transcendant of the WS restaurants...it is really like you are in Tokyo! Very relaxing!:cloud9:

None of my party had sushi: we all had grilled salmon and steak which was accompanied by steamed vegetables. I don't recall what else came with it, but I recomend the green tea pudding for dessert: my DD10 had that, and we were all envious!

Nine Dragons gets TONS of bad reviews here...I've never been.

We ate at Nine dragons on our last trip. Not really all that great. It was better before they changed the menu. I am not a big Sushi eater but I did enjoy Tokyo dining.

Tokyo Dining is my favorite place in the World Showcase. We don't eat sushi, but we do love other Japanese foods, like tempura and grilled meats and fish, and for us, the food is a hit. They have a lot more than sushi or I wouldn't eat there as I hate sushi! We also love the atmosphere. I think TD does a great job of portraying Japanese culture, the servers are wonderful and my kids love the way they bow and make you feel very pampered. We felt very relaxed and to me, it was like a peek into Japanese culture. You also have some incredible views of the World Showcase.

Tokyo Dining is in the same building as Tepan Edo and they share a waiting area and restrooms, but other than that are totally separate. To me, Tokyo Dining wins for my choice because I like a relaxed meal with no table sharing!

As for Nine Dragons, I haven't eaten there in years and when I last did, it was nothing special as far as food but it was very pretty on the inside.

I don't know if they still do it at Nine Dragons, but the Peking Duck dinner is a real experience. I can highly recommend it -- if it survived the menu changes.

I've eaten at both and while Nine Dragons is OK, I much prefer Tokyo Dining. I ate there this past May and had the Ginza Gozen (or maybe the Bento Box, I forgot, sorry). Anyway, it came with several pieces of sushi, tempura, seaweed salad, and rice. It was alot of food and very good. The three people I was with all had tempura and really enjoyed it. They had ginger cake, while I had the green tea pudding. The green tea pudding looks sort of nasty, but was really, really good. I already have another ADR at Tokyo Dining for my upcoming Sept/Oct trip.
