So which is better?
Which has more sushi?

Party of 9 (3 kids)
2 very big sushi lovers, everyone else, not so much.

Which would you rather?:confused3

The dinner we had at Teppan Edo was amazing (2 weeks ago)...it was the best of our weeklong trip by a long shot.

They did have sushi on the menu, but it was not included on the DDP.

I haven't ever dined at Tokyo Dining before, so can't speak for that.

Did you take your children? Did they enjoy it? I am thinking of booking it for next year. My children will be 9 & 5. I think they will love it. Also, how long did dinner take?

I did! They are 5 & 6 and loved it...they ate lots and had fun watching the chef.

I'm thinking dinner took about an hour and 15 minutes or so from beginning to end. :)

We did Teppan Edo with 2 girls (11/12) and they loved it. The food was great and the chef was a lot of fun. We plan to return there for dinner in April.

We did Teppan before it was remodel and had a blast. Our children were 5 and 10 at that time. We are going again in Oct. with a group of 4 adults and 7 children. One because it can accommadate us all at one table and two because it is one of our favorite restraunts. I would reccommend it to anyone.

Teppan Edo is wonderful. We were there last weekend. IIRC, the only sushi items were grilled sushi appetizers (I had the eel roll - fantastic!). The appetizers are not included in the DDP.

Tokyo Dining has a wide assortment of great sushi. It is NOT part of the DDP, and neither restaurant offers the DDE discount.

Either is still well worth it.

We used the Disney Dining plan at Tokyo Dining in June! Here is a picture of our table and view! I know my DD ordered sushi but I do remember there being some exclusions but not sure what it was. We enjoyed our meal here. We will be trying Teppan Edo next time around in November.

Tokyo Dining does accept DDP but I don't know if you can order sushi. I don't recall seeing any restrictions but I don't use DDP so I have not been looking. I do know the sushi menu is separate from the regular menu.

I believe Teppan Edo has a very small selection of sushi but they consider it an appetizer - no go if you are on the basic DDP. You could ask if they'd allow you to order it as an entree but that does not seem like a good use of a TS credit.

Went to Teppen Edo in June and had a great meal the chef entertains you as he make the meal right in front of you on the grill. There were 4 of us so we were seated with a family of 4 which just happened to be from the other side of the state, Pa that is. We do want to try Toyoko dining next time.

We went to Teppan Edo in February and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

While waiting for our ADR we noticed that Tokyo Dining is open to the shared lobby, so it seemed like it would be loud dining there. We thought an early lunch might be quieter, because there wouldn't be crowds waiting for ADRs yet.
