Toilet paper - over or under?

We prefer over, but have to do under because when it is over my cat unravels the whole roll overnight, then shreds the pile into a big nest, then goes to sleep in the middle of it like a bird. For some reason he has not figured out how to unroll when it is under. Toilet paper cat/bird nests started to get expensive, so well, under. Under!

PLEASE ask before flipping the roll if the house you are visiting has either a cat or a toddler!!!

You see, they like to bat at the roll to make it spin, and they will bat at it downward. If you do that with an "over" installed roll, it will spool out onto the floor, but if the roll is "under" it will just spin around.

Trust me, you haven't lived until your cat slips into the bathroom during Christmas dinner and unspools your last roll onto the floor.

I have the same problem but growing up it was always OVER. I got it stuck in my brain and can't change it. Even though the toddlers and my three Mainecoons get into it!
