We would really like to go to the Brown Derby for our Fantasmic package dinner. The problem...is we have a 20 month old who gets really excited about things (which usually results in a scream of joy). He is pretty good otherwise but, I don't want to ruin our night and that of others. Do you think we can swing it? Is it very quiet there? Will an outburst here and there be uncomfortable?
Best Regards,
Amy
P.S. Six days until we leave!!!! We are soooo excited!

It is a very nice restaurant with cloth tablecloths and refined waiters. But any restaurant that is on the grounds of a theme park or in a WDW Hotel is OK for kids,in my opinion.:)

Actually, what with Fantasmic and all, there are more children than ever at Brown Derby.

Thanks. That is reassuring. My husband said the same things but, I needed additinal reassurance. May still choose Momma Melrose, I think the kids may have a better time here (less formality) even though the grown ups really want the BD.
Best Regards,
Amy

its not very quiet and there are kids everywhere!! have fun... :)

We went here with our 4 DD's, no problem,,,,It's WDW!:D

Brown Berby is a hustling, bustling, noisy restaurant. I feel that it is perfectly appropriate to bring a child, of any age, here. They have a fine children's menu. As a mother of a once active toddler (now 10 and much calmer, thank goodness as he was wearing me out!), I appreciate your concerns. There is a lobby area, and walkway that you or DH could briefly excuse yourself to if your little one needed to burn off some vocal steam. Although a little whoop here and a little whoop there may very well go unnoticed by other patrons. Go and have fun!

I am LOL right now, when I first read this I thought you meant whoop as in a whoopin - like smackin the little one around wouldn't be noticed :) I'm pretty sure now though that you meant whoop as in the sound a small child makes - and that a lil bit o' hootin and hollerin won't be noticed. But I did get a giggle so thanks!

We went with a 2 year old, 3 year old and 5 year old- it was just fine- and the food was the best we had that trip.... ENJOY!!!!
