Toddler snacks

First of all, let me tell you I'm so jealous!! We are *hopefully* going in February, but nothing definite yet. I would pack gold fish- the cheese ones and the graham cracker ones too. Maybe banana's, nutri-grain bars, yogurt melts. Hope that helps! Have fun!

My DD3s second trip to WDW was when she was 17 months. I know the snacks she ate best while there was goldfish, fruit snacks, applesauce cups, mandrine orange cups, mini ritz with peanut butter crackers, and grapes. Also, I know a lot of kids get off of their routine while at WDW and dont always eat as good as they would at home, I always take a package of Kid Essentials for DD. She use to drink these for weight gain for a year or so. These are healthy drinks for kids, like pediasure, that DD liked better and are good for those days where they are not eating as well.

Have a great trip, we will be there for Christmas, DD3s 5th trip to WDW:wizard:!

PP had great ideas :) You could also take apple slices instead of grapes if you are worried about choking and such.

I took my 3 year olds recently and everyday I packed a little Toy Story lunchbox with soy butter crackers (nut allergies), goldfish crackers, cups of fruit, the gummy fruit snacks, lollipops (great for keeping them happy while waiting in line or defusing meltdowns), and the little 100 calorie packs of cookies. We basically feed them the soy butter crackers for lunch with the fruit and cut down on meal costs and the rest were snacks. No one gave us any trouble about it.

Applesauce. My niece loved the Dole squeese ones I packed. They were more expensive than the cups, but no spoon is needed.

Pretzels, Raisons, Apple Chips or other dried fruit. I also packed some of the pretzel or bread sticks with the cheese to dip.

Non messy ones like goldfish, teddy grahams, cheerios... :)

I lived off of bags of dry Cheerios and little boxes of raisins ("Ree-sees", apparently I was selective with my vowels at that age:rolleyes:). You don't have to worry about spoilage with either of them, either.

If you have a trader joes near you (sure other stores have them but haven't looked) they have apple sauce in squeeze packs with screw on caps. They have apple, and apple and carrot packs. DD loved them! plus theyre not messy!

My grandchildren love the 100 calorie snack packs and they come in many assortments. I worry about cheerios as they do tend to crumb after a while, but, the kids love them...My dgs loves ritz bits with peanut butter...yummy he says:) He is 21 months old...

Also, BabiesRus has things in similar packaging made by Plum Organics. My 16 month old LOVES these things. Also, you could try freeze dried fruit- not as much of a choking hazard as regular dried fruit- Trader Joe's carries a decent selection, and even WalMart has some (Brother's Naturals, usually in baking supplies or with nuts and other snacks).

My DD is just over 2, and we will be bringing with us Goldfish, raisins, PB Crackers, and probably Nutragrain bars.

I do love the idea of lollipops to avoid meltdowns, though... Hmmm!

Goldfish. Goldfish Grahams. Fruit cups. 100 calorie snack mix packs. Gummies (but only in the winter months!)
