Keep in mind that there was someone at the bottom of every graduating medical school class.

Just because someone licensed to practice medicine doesn't mean that they should be.

It's kind of like in the Armageddon movie "We're sitting on a nuclear bomb made by the lowest bidder"

Bottom of the class means the lowest of the doctors who passed. Along the way, numerous folks dropped out or flunked out.

As far as whether someone should be practicing medicine or not, I argue that it has no correlation to their grades in med school.
