I took the plunge and ordered the steak deal. I googled "omaha steaks free shipping" and clicked on a link that took me back to ohama steaks. The shipping amount was removed from my order; just paid the $4 for delivery on 12/22.

I told my sister about this deal and she has a store by her, so they honored the special and she went to pick it up to save on shipping. They also had other specials online that they honored. She was thrilled

WOW..I can't believe it but this totally worked. I had gone to Omaha through the Today deals thing, since I couldn't make that deal come up on SR, but the shipping was so high I cancelled out..then I come here..click on the link and the order was still in my cart, so I made it quantity 2 and I checked out with no shipping..very nice..Thanks!

I placed my order thru mrrebates, it showed no shipping when the order
when through. I just got a message from customer service on my home phone saying that no other promotions can be applied to the Today's Show Steals and Deals promotion, and they added the shipping to my order. Just a heads up. I ordered two and it's still a fantastic deal.

I've never had these steaks and now I'm having second thoughts. Are these good? I was reading on another board that people weren't too happy with the taste/texture of the meat. If that's the case I will cancel this order, but want to hear other's thoughts..thanks!

I like the taste! I think the difference is that the beef is much better than what you would get at the grocery store.
We buy half a steer about every 8 months and there is a noticeable difference in texture/flavor because it is grass fed
Not everyone likes it, but we think its amazing!

I don't see a place to put in a promo code and when I click on the Today Show special it limits buyers to 1 per buyer.

I must be missing how people are getting free shipping and multiples of the deal.

Usually on Xmas night we have a low key dinner with just the 4 of us (we do a big dinner in NY with my mom the following weekend) so this will be perfect!

And I must say I LOVE the coolers that OS send out. They are far better (as far as insulation) than any other plastic cooler out there!

I just hope DH won't freak out about 'spending more money' LOL!

Clicked on the link from an earlier post here for the free shipping, but I'm not getting the free shipping. Do I have to fill out all of the check-out information first before it takes off the shipping?

Yes you have to fill out all the information to get to the point where the shipping is free. This is the first time ever that I ordered from Omaha Steaks. I am so excited I could giggle. We are having the Prime Ribs for Christmas Dinner. I bought two packages. So I will have enough that DS and DH can have two and I don't think one is enough.

This is the biggest splurge I have ever spent on myself at Christmas time. The only thing is that in the little print, it say you have to purchase $79.95 worth of goods to use the $20.00 card. Maybe my mother would want to go in with me? And I will most likely give the other away here once it comes.

Told DH to get me the 1,000.00 pearls and he just rolled his eyes at me and said, Nope, got you steaks to cook for me, in a gruff manly way!!

My daughter pointed out a similar watch she liked at the mall. I figured it was worth looking into . Well, they want $12.00 to ship. No deals on shipping right now.

When you click on the link http://shop.omahasteaks.com/online/AE5275/ you don't have to put in a code for the specia, just hit the 'buy now' button or you can call the 800 number. I went thru mrrebates.com to get the free shipping, but they called and added the free shipping on anyway because no other promotions can be applied to
the order. Some may go thru though. This offer is only good for 24 hours and will be ending soon.
