Today's CRAZY crowded day

Spoilers are ahead so if you do not want to know who performed or will be in tihe parade, please do not read.





First off it was crazy today. The crowds were insane and it was hot! Aside from that, yes they filmed the parade today in segments. Regis and Kathy were up on Main Street where all of the action was. They did the High School Muscial Pep Rally with some of the cast from the movie. Other people who were there....RBD (new group with a song out called Tu Amor), The cast of That's So Raven (Did not see them because we were not up at the front of Main Street), THe Doodlebops (young kids) and the amazing Andrea Boccieli. He performed in front of Cinderellas Castle. All I can say is WOW! He is amazing of course and seeing him live (I was pretty much front and center) was a dream come true. He sang The Prayer.
In all, fun day but way too crowded. We rode one ride..."the people mover" and then went home. This was around 445 and it was still a madhouse. But I am glad we went.

Any Johnny Depp sightings? I heard he was suppose to be at the parade.

Hehe Kelly Kathy yeah oops (Can you tell I do not watch them hehe) In any event, nope, no Johnny Depp at all. There was a pirate float in the parade with pirates, kinda neat, but nothing even resembling Depp.


I am trying to get a pic of Bocceli up but for some reason I cannot transfer it to online.
That pic is of my son after a full day at Disney hehe. Today we obviously left very early (430 to be exact) because it was just too crazy there for us and we are blessed enough to live close enough to come back another time.

Ok here is the pic I took....bear with me as it was taken with my phone but you can at least get an idea of where he performed.
Funny side story. The wreaths hanging to the right and left of him, there was one on the right that the poor guy just could not get hung up 'perfectly' and he struggled for a good 20 mins. Finally, he got it just right and we all cheered for him and you could tell he was so embarassed when he realized we were cheering for him, poor guy.

I was at MK yesterday and I saw Emmett Smith and Bianca Ryan. Also there was a singer I saw as well but I'm drawing a blank on the name.

No, no lip sync. In fact they had to shoot the song twice for whatever reason, but it was not like we minded. He sounded amazing live...I never in my wildest dreams thought I would hear him live. I had goose bumps and the lady next to me was in tears, it was absolutely beautiful.

It was crazy there today! We got there very late...around 11 or 12 I think, so there was no way that we would have been able to see what was going on. When exactly does this air on TV? It's so funny how these things always look so fun on TV, but when you are there it is a mad house and everyone is complaining about all the people. I always thought it would be cool to be somewhere like this on a day like that, but I have changed my opinion now!!

We were at the MK Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday was CRAZY. Friday we saw Michael Bolton sitting in the press area near the giant Christmas Tree in front of the castle (moved from the usual town square area). I assume he performed at the castle. Also saw the Doodlebops and Emmit Smith dancing with his daughters. We were also told that Beyonce was performing, but her schedule was up in the air because of slight rain showers.

The crowds weren't as bad over at Disney-MGM Studios today. Rather hot, though. It was 85 or so today.

The Doodlebops were there?!?!? I know im a little old to be watching the Dooodlebops or know who they are for that matter but man, I would of really liked to see them. On a side note, I'm probably one of the only 21 year olds who will admit to seeing Playhouse Disney Live at MGM and singing along to Bear & The Big Blue House while 2 and 3 year olds run rampant all over the place.

Sorry - that just cracks me up when people say 85 is hot. Our summers are like 115, so 85 is perfect weather.



Anyway, I am glad you had a good time at MGM and the crowds were better. I am considering this time next year, so this is good info.

I was at Fri and Sat tapings....... Friday was fun, we were in front for the Idols number in front of the castle. I will try and post a photo. It was alot of fun, and well organized. We were with the DVC member group. Smaller group, more controlled by the CMs, less intense group!

Sat we went over with the AP holder group. NOT GOOD. They sort of lost control. We saw the HS musical taping. Lots of fighting among guests in our location, it was ugly. Security even came over at one point. I had a feeling AP holders would be nutty, and I was right. Plus, the invitaion to the taping was very misleading, and people were understandably upset. Disney dropped the ball on this one.

We saw Doodle Bops twice, on Friday for a photo shoot and Sat during parade taping.

We got photos with Ace Young Friday night, a trip highlight, lol (he is an Idol).
