Today Show interview with Octuplet Mom...

Last weekend someone on the news said it can cost around $400,000 to care for a single very early preemie. That's $3.2 million for her brood.

I thought she said, " I had all 8 eggs implanted" because they are all my children.

Lets face it, she is mentally disturbed and needs counseling big time. I just hope her children don't suffer because of her poor choices, but how can they not?

The brood will probably all end up on the public dole in some fashion. Where does she live, California? Get ready for a bump in your welfare rates, there's a family of 15 getting ready to come on the rolls. This so-called mother is *incapable* of raising all these kids into productive members of society. She couldn't even provide for her first SIX children and won't even be able to get them *anywhere* at once when all these premies get out of the hospital. Does she even own a car, has she ever bought a house, has she actually worked at anything other than having babies since 1999?!?

She *might* be able to get some kind of a reality show, but that doesn't mean she'll end up getting enough money to raise her offspring and that doesn't mean that the show would last beyond one season. And frankly, I wouldn't watch and I won't buy any products she endorses and wouldn't buy any book someone else writes that she gets her name slapped on "As Told By" and might even boycott any products that would advertise during her possible 'show'.

Oh *yeah*, I really want to subscribe to the idea that this disturbed woman is some kind of child-raising expert :rolleyes2 . The only thing she is expert at is getting implanted with artificially-fertilized embryos. This female is seriously disturbed, the pathology of her personality has to be off the charts.

The doctors who implanted the embryos should get their license yanked, the clinic who participated in any implantation process should lose their business license, any counselors who did NOT advise her not to go through with it should lose their licenses. Did *no-one* at any of the clinics or doctors' offices or her parents say "this isn't a great idea" or "I won't help you do this". The parents are the ones that she blames for her supposed 'problems' and yet they're good enough for her to take their emotional and financial support and good enough for her to keep on living in *their* house? if they're so toxic, why is she subjecting her children to them?

The whole circus is absolutely *disgusting*.

agnes!

Are they hard up for ratings and a new storyline? :lmao:

I didn't see the interview.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer just ran an article say the woman isn't getting the endorsements because companies are leary of back this situation. It said pampers was going to give her the usual package it gives any parent of multiples and it wasn't much. And if she truly had such a bad back how could she go through all those pregnancies- let alone multiples? She should have to pay back the workers comp fund that she duped.

I saw the interview. It reminded me of the interview with Rod Blagovich. Both times it was like the interviewer and the interviewee were not even in the same room. Both people are so delusional. I don't know how you get through to someone like that.

I really would like for this to turn out for the best with everyone concerned, especially the babies and her other children, but I just can't see how it would be possible for everything to turn out ok. I hope CPS will be keeping her under observation, at the very least to head off any problems and to take more serious action if warranted.

And *please* someone tell me that SHE WON'T BE HAVING ANY MORE KIDS :scared: .

Btw, has it come out how she paid for all these 'treatments'? They sure aren't cheap...

agnes!

I will not watch any program where that woman is featured. I will also stop buying products from companies that give freebies to her.

I feel very sorry for the kids, but I don't think companies should encourage such kind of irresponsible behaviour.

I don't know how dysfunctional her family life was, but her parents seem to love her and support her, even if they don't agree with her choices. Her mother is taking care of six kids under the age of seven, her father is going back to Irak to support her and her children... and she's trashing them on tv!!!

BTW, I saw her pic here and those lips don't look natural. I know this is trivial, but had to comment.

Ditto. It amazes me that an MD would do this procedure on this woman to begin with, first of all for health reasons but secondly, shouldn't there be some kind of discussion about how these children will be supported? If she was already not working and on public assistance due to "disability", why in the name of God would a responsible MD do this? He would had to have known that all the costs were going to be paid by someone else!

I'm sorry, but the majority in this country screams and yells about "choice" when it comes to children-but with "choice" comes responsibility. If you choose to have a child or 8 children, you choose the responsibility to support them. I'm fairly sure that the taxpayers of California would have chosen not to support her army of children if they'd been allowed that opportunity. Most of them are probably having enough trouble supporting the children they chose to have.

It's also going to be aired on Dateline next Tuesday, February 10.

She looks like Angelina Jolie.

She certainly looks like her lips have been "plumped up".

And in one of the still shots of all the ID tags on her arm for the babies did anyone else notice that she has a flippin' french manicure? Geez...when did she have time for that??? I have 3 kids and don't even allow myself that luxury just yet.

She claims she had a dysfunctional childhood yet is raising her kids in her parents' home? :confused3 Makes no sense.
I wonder if Ann Curry asked her any tough questions...Also, if she asked the mom what doctor did her ivf procedure. I don't think that has come out, has it? I've seen a lot of doctors interviewed regarding this case and most seemed to state that sound medical standards were not followed here...

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Wow...good eye. How much do those run? I've never had one. How long do they take?

the cheaper ones start off at $25.00. As a mom of 3 I never get them because they dont last long, its hard to have a good french mani when you have little ones

Her publicist is probably seeing to all the aesthetics and babysitting.
