I do this too. My Mom always has to remind me. I "celebrate" his birthday, though.

I too know the sadness today brings - my father passed away 3 years ago 7/9/00. I miss him terribly and I am certain that I always will.

Sorry to hear this. I can relate, it will be 14 years August 6, since my dad died. It is a tough day. It is weird how it seems like we have missed him for an eternity but then it also sometimes feels like yesterday that we lost him. Sadly missed, lovingly remembered...never forgotten.
