Today is 19 months from my Transplant!

As most of you know, I had a very very close scare and almost lost my new Pancreas in January. I am doing much better and thank all of you for your kindness, prayer's and good wishes! I did have the new test done last week, Immune Cell Function, and should hear the results next week when we see the Transplant Team!

I feel each day I am making a milestone forward, and I do take each day as it comes! Today was another change in medicine, and I hope that soon they will have me just fine tuned with all of them! They are close!

I am really hoping to be able to go to WDW very soon. I am keeping a very positive attitude and am happy to start to get out some! Not overdoing it as I am listening to my body!

Today as always, I remember my donor, as he lives on inside of me! I have found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! There really is one there, all you have to do is look and believe!

Don't take your organs to heaven...

When my first dd was born (now a healthy 8yo) she had a tumor on her liver. At one point we were waiting for a liver ( she did not end up needing one) I remember asking my mom "now what do I do, sit here and hope that somebody else's baby dies so we can have ther liver?" It is such a horrible position to be in and I have soooo much respect for people who find it in their hearts to share their life with another family. If everyone could know the feeling of really needing an organ for a loved one. No one would allow their life saving organs to go to waste.

I am so happy for you that you are doing well. That is the best gift that you can give the family of your donor!
