"the crazy Disney lady" at work. I was talking to another nurse who is going in Sept. She's not excited at all. I just can't understand that. She's staying at the Dolphin I think, has the expensive dining plan, still has a little guy who has never been so that will be fun. I don't think I talk about Disney that much at work. I don't know whether to be insulted or complimented! They think I go too much. This will be our 4th or 5th time in 8 yrs. For now, it's what we like. If any of my co-workers knew how much I planned for our trip, I'd definitely be the Crazy Disney Lady, lol

Some people it's abstract until they actually get on the plane or even get to Disney.

I was like that last year. People get excited in different ways. I'm far from the usual jump up and down, Disney everything excited type.

I'm not even big on planning before hand.

Last year I didn't book my trip until 2 months before and didn't book my ADRs until 4-6 weeks before. (Yet got everything I was hoping for including CRT and pre rope drop CP, as well as Pre rope Akershus. I think the Disney Fairies were smiling on me)

I wonder if anyone at my work thinks of me as "that crazy Disney lady."

Oh well, it's preferable to "that lawyer *#%&!."

Last month during an office meeting, the CEO stopped the meeting to point out that I was using a Disney insulated mug for my tea. He phrased it that he wanted to point out I still had a childlike enjoyment of Disney.

It wasn't mean but I know he can't understand why we go when our DDs are grown.

by the in-law family, they don't get it, oh well...... I have friends who know who to call when they are planning their Disney trips!!!:cool1: You go girl and be your Disney Self!!!

Everyone knows I'm the crazy Disney lady too...but I'm the first one they e-mail/text when thinking of a trip...want to be sure they're catching the latest discount and they know I'll know! I'm good with it!

Ditto, I wear that title proudly. We are lucky enough to have friends (2 seperate families) that are as obsessed as we are.

Ha! Me too, girl! (People at work almost certainly see me as the crazy Disney lady and I'm also a lawyer.)

It's to the point where people think we go all the time when, actually, we only just went last month and it had been 5 years since we'd been there. I think I just EXUDE Disney at all times.

My family DEFINITELY sees me as the Crazy Disney Lady because...you know...they know me pretty well and see me doing things like Disneybounding and purchasing Disney blu ray disks when I'm pretty much the only one watching them.

My dream? To plan a trip with some of you and go on my own someday!

the weird part is I don't know why I love it so much. Part of it has been the good memories with the kids but that's not the only part, I can imagine going without them. But I don't even particularly like Disney movies (except Pixar) and I'm not usually enthusiastic about big corporations who take your money, lol.

I want to travel to other places but Disney is just so easy to plan. I would be totally overwhelmed to plan a trip to say, Paris and I'd feel like I had to see everything because I'd never get there again.

I'm not a lawyer, I'm the crazy hospice nurse, you have to be a little crazy in some way to be a hospice nurse so if Disney is my crazy, I'll take it!

I talk about disney at least once a week at work so I'm sure people think I'm a crazy disney chick. Today I mentioned I was going to get a bottle of wine. It's the same brand of Riesling they have at Epcot Germany and I get at least one glass every time we are in Epcot. I went to the grocery store after work and they were all sold out.
My manager at work goes to disney about once a year or so so we talk disney a lot. So at least I'm in good company at work. He gets discount pins all of the time. I'll have to book with him next time we go if this is in fact the last year for free dining for the general public.

A lot of people think I'm a Disney Freak. Co-workers, friends, even family. I've learned to stop talking about it so much so I don't get "the look".

You need to work with someone like me who has been to WDW 27 times since 2006 with a 15 night stay booked for August.:rotfl: I usually go for my bday in May, a summer family trip and I often squeeze in a 3rd trip some other time of they year.

I am the resident Disney expert at work. If anyone hears about someone planning a trip they tell them they have to call me. I even help friends and family of coworkers planning a trip.

People used to tease me about it but they don't bother any more. I'm with you on planning a trip else where. Its tough-especially finding rooms for 5. We did California (San Diego & DL) 2 years ago. My oldest (15 yo) is giving me a hard time about going this year. Next summer she wants to go elsewhere.:scared1: I also won't be going for my bday next May because I have a trip planned to Europe instead (NO Disney). I wasn't planning on going this fall because of the expense of next May's trip. I don't know if I can go over a year without a trip.:rotfl2:

27 times, OMG!

I worried the day is going to come that DD won't want to go with me. DS didn't want to go this year, he, gasp, wanted to work!

Wear it proudly for sure!

I am definitely the crazy Disney chick at work. For Christmas my staff got together and bought me a beautiful Disney watch that I wear proudly (they know what's what :grouphug:

It truly is difficult to explain to those that don't get the magic. There are so many wonderful places in the world to visit, and yet whenever we contemplate them, we keep coming back to the fact that those vacation days could be spent in our "Happy Place" and......back we go::yes::

My boss, however, has an entirely different take on the "World" after spending two weeks there with her family, parents, brother, SIL, and nieces...."Happiest place on Earth my A$$!!!" :lmao:

Different strokes!

:worship: I know who to call when I want to talk Disney!!!!

We have a trip planned for October and made the reservation at our 11 month window with DVC - each day since I made the reservation I have sent email to my adult children (Yes, they are going also.) with the number of days till WDW.

Recently my daughter said I was insane. I told her my insanity keeps me sane.

Everyone at my office knows to call me when they are planning a disney trip. I usually go 3 times a year. This year it will be about 6 for some of the special events.

I go other places too. I love traveling alone. I have been to London and Paris this year. We went to New Orleans because it was cold here and then I will be in Cancun later this year.

All the people I work with are scared of me so they don't call me crazy anything.

I am sure I have been called worse things! LOL!:rotfl2: I know everyone thinks I'm the crazy Disney lady! I good with that! I love Disney!!

I can relate. Struck up a conversation with a co-worker about Disney, and he listened a while, then looked at me and said, "Oh, you're one of THOSE people." Well, I guess that makes me a crazy Disney lady too ;)
