Today I did the unexpected...

I am like some of the other posters...I consider myself "anti tattoo" but I really, really like yours and the sentiment behind it. It's beautiful and simple. I hope it makes you smile every time you look at it.:goodvibes

That is so sweet, and so meaningful to you!! What a neat idea!!

I would love to get a small tatoo, but I'm just too chicken to do it. :(

That is an awesome idea!!! My mom died when I was 16 and I have been trying to come up with a meaningful tattoo for the past 14 years! I have 1 note in her handwriting that she wrote to me and I am seriously thinking of doing this. Wow, great idea! Love it :goodvibes

DH has our children's names written in their scratchy just learning writing. He didn't get the idea until dd had already been writing her name for a while so it had become neater. We had them take her name from a preschool paper. DS was just learning to write his name so he wrote directly on dh with a sharpie. DH also has our last name on his arm with both children's first name, middle name and their birthdays.

How wonderful! I love the idea of getting something in the handwritting of someone you love.
I have a wrist tattoo as well, it says "strength" and has the outline of the Tetons above it. It is very personal to me as well.

I am pretty much "anti-tattoo" also but I love yours! It is so sweet. I don't think I'll ever get one - but I could see myself doing that.

beautiful.
i don't post often, but i've read several of your posts about your mom. i'm sure this tattoo will comfort you no matter what you face... having a bit of your mom with you. i'd never seen anyone get a tattoo in someone's handwriting before and i adore the idea! even more precious since your mom's not a card person... and the art of letter writing has all but disappeared in this day and age.

i'd love to get a tattoo in the exact same spot, but my husband would have a fit. i've never cared for them either, but the past 2 years, i've really wanted one.

and to those afraid of needles - i encourage you to go to a tattoo parlor and ask to see the "needle". a friend does tattoos and was doing one when i was in his shop. i asked if i could watch (the person being tattooed was also a friend), and it's not nearly as scary as it sounds. it's very small, and moves quickly. i had a huge fear of needles, but this wasn't scary. not a bed of roses, but i didn't pass out.

Gorgeous!! Makes me want to get one..
