I agree - good first episode. I'm sure I'm not alone in really pulling for a Jet Tila title this year!

Anyone want to take a stab at the other three "Icon" competitors? I have to assume that Iron Chef Morimoto is one of them.

Tournament of Champions - it is a cooking competition show on Food Network (7th season, thus the 7 )

Very glad last night's final battle went the way it did. The person who lost has a history of being very annoying on every show I've seen them on. Although I will say they were not that bad last night. Still glad they are gone.

I was thinking the same thing. I really thought she lost because she really didn’t use that air fryer.

To be fair to Britt, she's GOOD! Highest score of the 1st round so far isn't faked. I really thought after they judged GT's dish, she might finally lose 1st round, but then hers was somehow better.

So, I have a lot of respect for her. She knows how to appeal to practically all chef-level palates (which is a different skill than appealing to regular folks - some chefs can do one, some can do the other, and some do both).

I'm happy with the winner. I would have loved to see the final include the person who lost in the previous round. But I'm not sure who I would have rooted for if that had happened. I'm also a little surprised the final scores were not higher

Same here at first I thought it was some series on one of those pay channels.............LOL. I like cooking shows where people make something and explain to us how they do it and if any special techniques are required. Competitions where they run around making something using various ingredients just doesn't appeal to me.

I agree. It’s not who I wanted to win, but I’m still happy for him.
