toaster in room?

I'm not going to fight about toast but you've never heard of wheat allergies or glutton allergies?

I'd just like to put my 2 cents in for toasting at the food court. We did this when we stay at the Value/Moderate resorts. It works out really well for us since we usually go to the food court to get a mug full of coffee anyway. The toasters are huge, heavy duty ones that move the toast through the heating elements and the food court has butter and jam right there. You can also buy a square of cream cheese if you bring bagels.

I've never seen so much hoopla over a toaster! The one-bedroom villas we stay in have toasters! I think the DVC studios do too. So, it must not be the safety hazard some people are trying to make it out to be. Nor is it the food smell drifting problem people seem to think it is. And don't get into the connecting room issue. There are connecting rooms at the villas well. I have numerous allergies, including cigarette smoke, but allergic to toast? Come on. Really!

That's the difference between a villa and a regular hotel room...a regular hotel room is just not designed for "cooking"...be it toast or whatever versus a villa that is...

I don't think this is an issue about toast, per se (or gluten allergies )...but an issue about using a toaster in your hotel room...too much risk...I agree with the poster who said she goes to the food court to toast her bread...If it is there and available to use why not use it???

For me, it's an issue of practicality more than anything...personally...I wouldn't want to be the person carrying a toaster in my luggage...lol

What is your source for the information that some rooms are designed for toasters and some aren't? I'm not a construction engineer myself so I wouldn't know. I would appreciate your detailing how a regular room is not designed for a toaster but a villa is.
