To you who are going before xmas ...

Less see....I should be packing instead of sitting here. No Christmas decorations out or up. Have to pick up our last two tickets at the disney store tommorrow. My "kids" have not started packing and we decided to leave a day early!!!!! Which will totally screw up my planning. And I haven't had the heart to even tell my travel agent Beth at DU yet. She has done so much work and sent our final plans out a few days ago. The good thing is that we are planning to wing it on the day we added. Now I need to call my aunt and warn her we will be descending on her doorstep Thursday night. But with Port St. Lucie only 2 hours away I couldn't not go and check on her ( especially after the hurricanes ). Gee....my stress level just went up after I read this back to myself ! Oh well .....it really doesn't matter because I will be in WDW in 4 days .

My children are too young to have just the trip be Christmas...........they will wonder if Santa thought they were bad...........SO we are doing it all. They, of course, need the tree out and decorated, the nativities set up (we have four), their snow globes out, their stockings hung.........they need to make Christmas cookies, have presents under their tree, and buy presents for each other and mom and dad..................so it's been pretty stressful doing all that and plan and pack for the trip, and try to get everything done at school, too.............I've spent way more money this year on my second graders because I don't have the time to do everything myself........all the convenience items cost big bucks! Like, instead of mixing up the cookie dough for baking cookies with them tomorrow, I bought the dough and we're rolling it out, cutting and baking..........and then instead of coloring sugar ourselves, I bought sprinkles.........I am still making our own icing though.......that stuff is way too much to buy...........we're also having a polar express day on Tuesday so I had to buy hot chocolate, bells, and polar express cereal!
I find I have to just think of one thing at a time.........either I can totally be planning and carrying out Christmas traditions with the kids.........or I can totally be planning and carrying out the school things..............or I can totally be planning and hopefully soon carrying out, our Disney trip. Can't do any of this when I'm doing something else. I also think I'm packing way too much stuff, but not sure what to leave behind...........

we are also going to disney for christmas 12-21 to 12-29 the house is decorated inside with tree,,a few presents from santa wrapped and ready,,,,i have given them money ,,,and for there i have in my suitcase wrapping paper and tags with tape ,,,i intend on getting a couple outfits and pj for there i ever packed a small tree,,,,,they are 7 and 4 so still believe in santa,,,,,i am almost packed and ready to go ,,,i do a few things a day,,,tomorrow i will write address and send postcards instead of cards when i get there,,,,,,i have a small family so that shopping is done as well,,,baking,,, i am baking this week and making fudge but most of all i cant wait to go to disney,,,have a good time to all that is going,,,,,

I still have to shop for a few presents for the family up north and then ship them. Other than that we have all our decorations including a tree up in the house. Now for the WDW trip, we have a tree and decorations we're taking with us in 9 days! The trip itself is our (my DBF) gift to one another and we just can't wait anymore!!

We too leave Sat. we'll stay at that nick hotel on sat. night, check in sunday morning at CR, go get tickets at SOG, and off we'll go! We are doing presents on Fri. and we will have stockings to open on Christmas Day. I just don't want to cart all that stuff to Orlando. Is anyone staying at CR? Maybe we'll run into you!

We're doing Christmas at WDW too but it hasn't changed any of our home plans. We always travel to relatives for Christmas week so we're all used to leaving about a week before Christmas, heading to Disney, and then to relatives. This year we'll just stay at Disney. My nine year old has Asperger's so routines are very important. We've had the Christmas tree up for two months now and all the presents wrapped for weeks. We basically do everything we'd do anyway. Presents will be hidden in the back of the van and carted down. She knows Santa will visit her at AKL (she doesn't know he's leaving a few things at home too). The trip is her present (and outs) but it's not a biggie to her as she goes a lot. So there will be plenty of other presents. We saw one set of relatives before and we'll see one set after. No one is really happy with us but we're pretty relieved.

Stressed here. Five afternoons to finish wrapping all the gifts and do all the packing. It can be done, but it's gonna be close. My DS10 and DS16 have done a lot of the wrapping and will continue to do so (like it or not).

The worst is squeezing in all the chores with the usual school Christmas programs that seem to be almost every night (four kids in four different schools).

Dear neighbors were tragically killed in an auto accident last Friday night and THAT really puts things in perspective.

Please have a safe and happy holiday and WDW trip. We'll be on the road south 12/18.

Ummm, I'm freaking out here! I'm leaving straight from school on Friday (I teach in a high school) so anything I don't have done tomorrow night when I go to bed isn't going to get done. Or course, here I sit, Dising . . .

Then when we return on the 23rd we're going straight from the airport to my mom and dad's for Christmas, then on to DH's family - I won't be getting back home until the 29th and we're having a New Year's Eve party . What have I done to myself?

I've got all the gifts and stuff taken care of. Now I just have to do some laundry and pack and clean my house. Why am I sitting here!?!?!?! Ok, I'm really getting up now . . .

Yikes! I leave in less than 48hours, flight home arrives at midnight on 12/23. We have the entire extended family coming for CHRISTMAS EVE! I AM NOT READY. Usually I am very organized, have my shopping & wrapping done early as well as the house decorating etc. The house usually gets decorated the first weekend in December. Well, my sister was having an "emergency" (long story, but not a real emergency as my sister is bi-polar and every day is an emergency) and i needed to pitch in. So, decorations get done a week late. Then, I got the flu. Yes, the I can't get out of bed, never mind shop, wrap and bake.

Here I am with less than 48 hours to go and I still have 2 gifts to buy, more than half the gifts to wrap, food shopping to do, I need to pack (haven't been able to pack since the trip is a surprise that I am not sprining on DD until tomorrow night). I work full time, so I am stuck here today until 5:00, then I MUST attend SO Office Holiday dinner or he will NEVER speak to me again (we're going to Disney without him).

I don't think I'm going to make it!!
