Before continuing on with my next installment, I have some distressing news. Dh was away on a trip last weekend, when he returned home, he realized that while turning in the rental car, he left Felicity on the seat of the car!!!

All I can say is
I hope he never forgets ME in a rental car someday!!
Fear not however, he has already replaced her! He went and got a TomTom named Lori
well, thats the name the particular voice came with but I think we may change it.
NOW, on with the show
.
If you remember, I stopped taking notes on my first day. The following may or may not be in order but for the sake of argument, lets that it is.
When I last left you, we had just had a some what damp ride on Stanley Falls.
We continued our trek through Timbuktu. Now I have used this far away place in many conversations. I have claimed to been to Timbuktu and back, I have claimed I have search Timbuktu for something I have lost and I have even threaten to send someone there off the toe of my shoe! Now I am actually walking through it
.well, the closest I will ever be to the real thing anyway.
We came to the Congo River Rapids; everyone with the exception of Dan wanted to go on so Dan became our locker. We found a bench in the shade for him and loaded him down with our fanny packs, slings bag, hats, sunglasses, cell phones, wallets, cameras, loose bills and change.
The rest of us followed the cue all the way to the loading dock. We climbed aboard our raft and got buckled in. There were two other guys on the ride who we noticed had been on the raft when we got on.
Off we started down the river and right away, Zack got hit square in the face with one of those 25cent water shooters. Needless to say, I started to howl, bad move on my part seeing as I got a mouthful of water from another shooter!! Note to self
dont laugh so hard that it makes a target!!
The ride was a boat-load of fun!! (Pardon the pun) We got nice and wet and of course Bruce as always is a magnet to waterfalls! As we were pulling up to the loading dock, we got talking to the guys that were on the raft with us. They were locals playing hooky from work. It was funny to just watch them on the ride; they were just chillin out like they were sitting at home on the couch minus the beer in their hands!
They told us that today was a great day to be in the park because there were not many people there as we had already noticed!!
None of these people are us!
When we got to the unloading area, there were only about 4 people waiting to get on so we asked if we could go around again. SURE they said
Our new friends got off and around we went again and got even wetter!
Fabulous ride!! We had some real good laughs and wished Dan was on with us, he would have enjoyed it!
From here, we came to another coaster, Kumba. Kate and Zack went on this one while the rest of us, including our park map, tried to dry some in the sun.
The only dry one of us!!!
Kate and Zack really liked the coaster and Katie felt sorry for the next person sitting in her seat, being as wet as she was, she left a puddle in it.
We all decided we needed something for lunch
we wandered off looking. I have to say, even with the size of this park, we found that there were not many eateries.
We stopped at Kenya Kanteen. We got hotdogs and fries or fruit and cheese fries along with a very much needed COLD DRINK! The birds here were AWFUL!! If you did not watch your food, they could come and take things right off your plate!! Someone else had this happen to them at the next table over.
As we sat and ate, the Train that circles the park came by. I would have loved to gone on this but we only had so much time and it leaves something for the next visit another time.
After lunch, we made a potty break and then went moseying off. We came to some very large tortoises, Im talking very large!! You could saddle one of these bad boys and ride one!! One was ever so nice to come over to say hello to me.
Sorry I didn't get this day done still....I promise the next installment we will finish up BG.
By the way...Zack does get wet again!!!
