DM and I went to the one at DD this summer (DS was in DQ:rolleyes: ). For Spring Break I was thinking DS and I would go to the one at Animal Kingdom. Is one better than the other???

TC:cool:

I haven't found a big difference between the two. I think I favor the RFC at Downtown Disney but only because it was the first RFC we ever visited. Those memories were good and put it over the top for me. Both are good though........

I think the one at AK is less crowded than DD is- they have the same food, different outside designs, but other than that they're the same.

We've eaten at the DD 2x and the one at AK 1X. Both times at DD the service was pretty slow. At AK the service was much faster. The food was a little better at AK too.

we loved them both.the one at AK is faster service.

as for the poster than did not like RFC it is diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.

AK is better for RFC.

I ate at both RFC's on my last two trips. I really enjoy their food and their atmosphere. I prefer the RFC at Downtown Disney over the one at Animal Kingdom. I think the service is much faster at DTD, but both of them had excellent food. Either way, enjoy your safari! :)

we have eaten at both places and we prefer the dt disney location for better service and food seemed a little better, too.

Just ate there earlier this month.

herc.

We've been to both and think the AK one provides faster service. It just always seems less crosded than the DTD one.

We've been to both RFC and the one at AK was less crowded that the location at Downtown Disney and the food was the same at both.

RFC at AK is less crowded than DD. However, my first choice for dinner would be to grab the bus to AK and eat at Jiko.

I prefer the Downtown Disney one, just to browse in the shops afterward.

Don't you just love it when a question is answered that isn't even asked

We've eaten at both several times on trips and the AK one is better. Somehow, the one at DTD reminds me of one you'd find in a mall, whereas the one at AK is more connected with the park experience.
Bottom line--you will not wait nor have poor service at AK.
DTD is simply overbooked due to the crowds--make sure you have a confirmed reservation!

And who is this directed at? We have been to both. Awful food and worse service.

So if someone asks which is better, the answer is neither, they both STINK!

Well Mitch, I have to say that I read your post before our little weekend getaway. I had purchased several Connections vouchers to use on this trip. One was the Vacation Lunch Kingdom which allowed for a three course lunch at many different places.

RFC was one location that is consistently recommended as a "good value" for the $30 you pay for the voucher.

I went ahead and tried the RFC at AK......you were right. Maybe we are just spoiled to finer dining places (California Grill, Jiko, Flying Fish, even Le Cellier), because we did not really care much for the quality of food.

Went for it all, pizza as appetizer, steak and stuffed lobster as entree, bananas foster for dessert. Money-wise, I guess you could say we got a good deal. However, the food was not very good. The bananas foster was actually rock hard ice-cream rolled in a very cold and dry (obviously this was simply pulled out of freezer) crepe, covered in whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrup. There was absolutely no sign of the banana liquer sauce they referred to.

Oh well, now we know....should have listened to you!!

I've been to both and can't complain too much. To me its a burger & salad place and that's fine. It cannot compare to California Grill, Jiko's, Flying Fish, etc.

RFC is out of their league if they are now serving Bananas Foster and stuffed lobster!
