DH & I are planning a WDW trip starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2004. To those of you that have done the weekend after Thanksgiving, how are the crowds? Which parks should we avoid and which would be our best choices? We normally do not visit a park on Saturday-our normal arrival day. What would be the best option for Sunday? Thanks for your help!

Hi

I visited last Thanksgiivng weekend and plan on it this year as well (hopefully next year too!)

The crowds begin to diminish on Saturday and Sunday even more.

We arrive on Friday this year and my plan this year is to visit AK on Saturday, dinner @ Bomas' and then join the madness @ MK. If its too crowded, its okay, we have the rest of the week. I want to see what "crowded" really is! Call me crazy. On the following day, Sunday we are going to Epcot. Then to MK on Monday. I think I might avoid alot of the crowds that way.

My feeling is this, the first two weeks of December are usually not crowded, but people are catching on that it is a wonderful time to go, combine this with some WDW great deals/packages, who knows!

Enjoy!

We went to Epcot the Sunday after Thanksgiving last year. We didn't find it too bad, and by Monday things were less crowded. We did the MK on Tuesday and stayed for MVMCP. I think the crowds started building there Tuesday afternoon because of the party.

In 2001 we went to MK on Sunday after Thanksgiving and MGM on Monday. It wasn't bad either day, 10-20 minute waits at most. Plus, the parks were in their splendid Christmas decorations. It was just awsome. A very enjoyable time. I highly recommend that time of year.

Since you will only start doing the parks on the Sunday after T-day, I think you will find it very managable. We were there for T-day weekend and the whole next week two years ago and the crowds really died down on Sunday and that next week was just awesome - very little waiting!! Plus parks will be decorated for Christmas and it is just a beautiful sight! I think you'll have a great stay!
