yes, Im not sure how long it last or what the % of your pay it is. You moving out here in the land of air condition

I think each state pays a different unemployment benefit amount. I'm not sure how much or for how long either. In Georgia, if you decide to go to 2 year college, you can draw unemployment during the time you're in school.

We live in WI and my husband receives the maximum which is $329 a week.

My son was laid off at the same time and he went back to school full time in Jan and they cut off his unemployment.

$329 a week is good...................we get that per fortnight here.

The maximum in Massachusetts is $509.00 per week. Your benefit rate is roughly half of your average weekly wage for the past year.

My newly un-employed DH get something similar to Wis, and the max is 26 weeks of it.
