Thanks to all of our American friends for the thoughts and prayers.

My hubby Paul, thankfully was not working at his Liverpool Street office, instead he is in Minneapolis, phew. It's been one hell of a scary day but I feel united and proud that our City was albeit sadly, as well prepared as it is.

Really, really, really sorry about those despicable murders. I hope everyone in Great Britain, and especially London, realizes just how much love is coming their way now.

Londoners, as far as I am concerned you are the true descendents of the Blitz. I think Winston Churchill would have been proud of your "just get on with it" spirit today. You still have a lot to teach the rest of us about how not to let the terrorists win.

While I have never had the pleasure of visiting London, I would love to still one day. I was just talking with Gabby last night about maybe going to London sometime around the Olympics when I knew that security would be high. This is such a shame on so many levels.

I have read the three threads which are full of wonderful words of support from our american friends. It really touched me. I live in London and today I felt very proud of our emergency services and how everyone behaved. This discussion board represents what is good,honest and kind about the world. It is reassuring that we arent alone. Thank you all, we will get up tomorrow and go on. They cant win.

God Bless you Prue and all whom this aweful thing has effected.
The people of your great nation stood by us in "the great war" of 1914.
The people of your great nation held off the Nazi's untill we were prepared to join you in the fight.
We helped each other in the Falklands.
The People of your great nation stood with us during the 2 gulf wars.
We will never step aside during the times you are in the cross hairs of these insane murderers.
I know you are alot more "used to" this sort of thing by virture of the war with the IRA then we are -- but God Bless you all, and preserve you. You are NOT alone, we will stand with you in these dark days--God Save The Queen!

My prayers go out to our UK friends, also. You are a strong, proud citizenry, so I know you will make it through this. It's just difficult right now to deal with the aftermath of such evil attacks.

I cannot understand the makeup of people who carry out such horrendous acts on innocent people. Thank you for the support you gave America after the Sept. 11 attacks. We stand beside you now.
