To Switch or Not to Switch

I would switch in a heartbeat. A pool is a HUGE part of our vacation, more importantly, an active, busy, exciting pool. The photos that you see of the quiet pools (with out anyone there), was probably taken in prime time. There is never anyone at those pools. Now maybe that is what you like, but I can be alone at home, I don't want to be alone on vacation at a POOL.

The slides they are adding are hysterical, picture those basketball hoops you put in your driveway that are portable and have the sand/water base, well, same concept with slide. My kids would hang me if I told them that the pool had a "slide" and that is what they get.

But active, busy pools can = no chairs to be found. That was our issue with the CSR pool. Too crowded, couldn't find chairs. Had to wait a while for two chairs together.

Well I called today to make the switch and no luck on CSR...its all booked up and so are the POFQ and POR resorts...so the only other option is to go bigger and upgrade to deluxe...so now im kinda stuck

Make the best of it. If the quiet pools don't do the job, go for a day at one of the water parks

Check out prices for WL, they aren't that much more than the moderates. WL is FABULOUS.

Keep trying. A room can become available at any time .

Can I do it online just as easy as calling for availability at a specific resort? Say someone cancels and there is a reservation spot open...

We stayed at CBR last year and loved it, but we were able to use the main pool, the kids loved it. So, for us the main pool is important and it sounds as if it is for you as well. That being said, I'd switch to another moderate if that is the level of room you are looking at.

I would always call because it is more reliable than online.
