C'est tres bien!!!! Paris is incredible. Good for you and enjoy every minute of it!
Thanks for the great report on Morimoto's! We LOVE sea urchin, so I'll imagine it to be divine there.
All of it sounds delicious (excuse me while I drool) and well worth every penny.
I used to be a bit snarky about very high priced gourmet experiences. Then we dined with Chef Josiah Citron at Melisse in Santa Monica. We were seated at 6:30. We had the Maitre d', the main server who explained every thing and made excellent recommendations, a back up to that person, three servers who actually provided the food ordered, a sommelier and at least four others who checked on us from time to time. Another server provided bread throughout the evening. We had a cheese service, on top of six courses. We left the restaurant at approximately 10:30 pm. After that meal I totally understood the high prices associated with excellent food, service and ambiance.
So, all that to say Morimoto's sounds on the same par, although I am a tiny bit jumpy about "chain" gourmet... Colicchio's was a disappointment.
