Do you think having the silver plan added to your package is worth it? I have read here that you save more money paying as you go. Me, DH, oldest DD and possibly DS would make the most of having appetizer, good dinner and dessert. But the DD that is 12 would rather order from the child's menu and have a burger or mac and cheese than a nice steak or seafood. The other DD which falls under child category barely eats at all. If we did do the silver plan would we be able to use the 2 DD wishes and add them to ours?

We definitely thought it was worth it. I couldn't tell you if we saved money or not but it was worth it more so for the convenience. We also found ourselves doing things we normally would not have done..... golf, spa treatments, etc. I don't think we will ever go without the Silver Plan again!!!

DH and I went to WDW using the Discovery Magic Package, which is now called the Silver Plan, last October on our honeymoon. Monetary wise, it does not save you a whole-lot of money, especially if you have children who do not have the appetite of an adult, and if you don't use the options wisely. However, the plan does give you the freedom to eat almost-what-ever-you-want in the chosen restaurants, as well as activities which you would not do. Since the plan is pretty much all inclusive, you can have better control on your budget. For example, on our honey, we knew that we would use all options on meals, so we could budget how much more we need for souveniors and other expenses....

Just want to say this, DH and I will still get the add-on plan for our next trip to WDW.
