Weve been to DW a couple of times before never opted for any dining progam But going in July(fam of 5) and considering Qs. Is it worthit?? Can you pick anything on menu(all over 10yrs)??Can it be appied to TS if we want one night??
Thanks,

for our upcoming trip and it doesn't make sense to me. The adult price is $29.99 per day. For $10/day more you get a table service meal to replace one of the CS meals but one less snack and no resort refillable mug on the regular DDP.

None of us will use the refillable mug so that's not even in my calculation. I figured with the combo meals I would usually spend about $10 per meal with a drink. I'd have to get the chicken and rib platter almost every day for the price to work for me and I don't want that much food in the middle of June. My son, who would be considered an adult, would probably spend $20/day max on the two CS meals. My wife often splits meals with our five year old daughter so it doesn't work for her.

The math doesn't work for my family and just looking at the relationship between the two plans the price point seems too high. I would think they need to have a difference of $14-$15 to make this work. And by this I mean lowering the QS price not raising the DDP price.

Is there somewhere to go to see the available food options and then I could figure math too?? Last visits kids were small and we typically didnt do sit down, but now that they're teens might want too. But we alos dont eat too much, plus in July its just sometimes too hot to be that hungry. Hmm:confused3 re-thinking this option...Thanks...

Up at the top of the page, click on Dining and go to the menu link. You can do the math then. Don't forget to include the 6.5% you would be paying if you pay OOP for the meals. I did the math, and I'm a little over $30 per day, plus the mug which I would have bought. So, it will save me just a few dollars eating what I would normally have eaten. Now, I'm solo, so I do think that if you can and will share meals, it may not work out as well.

I don't need all the extra sugar, so I'm committed to only eating desserts when they are special, and if I cannot exchange the other desserts for a bottle of water or bowl of fruit to go, I shall just consider that I wouldn't have paid for it anyway, so it's not a loss of money. I'm not going to get into the mindset of having to eat what I pay for because I don't want those calories! I will however use all my snack credits, even if they're just for treats to take home. Those won't be unwanted calories; they are very wanted! ;)

ETA-I meant to add that you cannot exchange a TS for one of the QS as the OP asked. You would have to pay OOP for that. I'm doing that for two meals, and it's still not as expensive at the regular DDP.

Thanks,

We just did the CS plan and loved it. We had a pretty good variety of choices and we stayed very full. WPE in DTD has great entree choices and lots of variety. We also had many different choices in the parks. You can pick any combo meal or main dish on the menu. You also get dessert and a drink. You get 2 snacks per day (we used them quite a few days for breakfast) and the refillable mug. We actually had 28 snack credits left on our last day so we brought back rice crispy bars and got snacks/drinks to eat at the airport. You cant apply the credit to a TS meal. We got the CS plan and paid OOP for 2 TS meals and still came out cheaper than the base cost (without tips) for the TS/CS plan. Worked well for us as we dont like to spend too much time at TS- takes away from our park time and makes you stick to a more strict schedule.
