To park or not to park....that is the question

Hello! We are only a few days away from our trip to Disneyland. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Resort, about a mile and a half from the main entrance. In the past, I have always taken the shuttle service to the park, but now that we have two little ones (almost 3 year old son, and a 9 month old daughter) we will also have a double stroller to lug around. I am wondering if it's just easier to drive to the park ourselves and just park...$15 isn't unreasonable, but are there in and out privledges, or do you have to pay each time you return? Since I was a kid, we have always gone to the park as soon as it opens, then go back to the hotel for a nice break/nap, etc. and then we return in the evening.
On the shuttles, do they have compartments at the bottom of the bus to stow strollers and stuff, or do you have to lug the thing onto the bus, thus getting in everyone's way and struggling with that in addition to your kids? I just want to do whatever is going to be less of a hassle.
Thanks!

You only park once, you have full in and out privileges all day. We almost always park but we have 1 Premium AP so we can get free parking. Just an fyi, if you purchase your tickets via AAA you will get free parking as a perk. :)

I haven't taken a shuttle in ages so I can't remember what they have for strollers, I want to say racks inside the buses but I'm not sure.....
