We are staying at PC from 1/21-1/26, and plan to be in the park for 4 days. We used the room only discount code, but were wondering if there is a package that might save us some $ on the park hoppers. Any ideas. Thanks.

I'm sure someone will correct me but, I'll give it a shot:)

I think that you can get a park hopper for only 4 days, but I don't think you can get a park hopper plus (which includes at least one visit to water parks, PI and DisneyQUest per trip) for less than five.

With a package you get the ultimate park hoppers, which include unlimited visits to all parks (including water parks, DQ and PI). It's also nice because you don't need to get hand stamped because there is no "day" limit, it's just valid for the length of your stay.

In terms of cost comparison, I think it depends what kind of stuff you want to do. Multiple visits to water parks or PI might indicate going with the package and UPH. However, if you're just going to the parks, a four day park hopper may be your best bet

4 day PH (adult) ~ $220
5 night UPH (adult) ~$265

Since you've already used the amazing room only code, I don't think any package is going to save you more money. The packages have the rooms at rack rate. If you have children, you *may* be able to save money using the Kids Play Free package (kids admission is free with a paying adult, 1 child per adult) but probably not since the room only discount is so good. Your best bet would be to buy advance purchase tickets through Disney and get the Park Hoppers that you will need for the trip. It only saves 5% or so, but it's the only discount I've seen on Park Hoppers lately. I think there are also some discount ticket brokers that can get a similiar discount for you. Someone here will have that info.

I compared our KS&PF package to the room only discount offered and its basically the same.

You could in the past get a 4 day PHP with at least 1 plus (some sites had a special with 3 pluses).
Some sites to check:

I believe they all have them but some off them will rip you on the shipping so make sure you do the math. It may seem cheaper up front but then you pay out the nose for shipping.
Alamo even has a phone # you can call to get a 3 day PHP (1plus)
Just go to theyre website and click on the Disney icon towards the bottom of the screen. They will give you a 800 number to call. We used them this past Sept. I dont remember how much the tix cost but the shipping is free.

Looks like your basic question regarding park hoppers has been answered. Regarding packages in general, I have always found it cheaper to get the resort rooms at discounts and purchase things separately. For example, the packages that included (don't know if they still exist) meals had a good discount on the meals, but ended up being more money than we would normally spend on meals since we don't normally do 3 sit-down meals a day. Length of stay passes aren't a bargain for us because we don't visit the parks every single day during our stay and we would end up paying for one or two half-days that we could do without.

With a package you get the ultimate park hoppers, which include unlimited visits to all parks (including water parks, DQ and PI). It's also nice because you don't need to get hand stamped because there is no "day" limit, it's just valid for the length of your stay.
Question for anyone: is this true about not needing a hand stamp when using an ultimate park hopper? This doesn't make sense to me; seems like a guest would still need a hand stamp if leaving a park and planning to return to a park later that day.

The only admission media that does not need a hand stamp is an Annual Pass.

Ultimate Park Hoppers still need one to prevent one person from using the UPH in the morning and then giving it to someone else that afternoon for admission later in the day.
