Hi. :wave2: Is a child ever to old for Easter? I told DH that he can help this year and get things for our two DDS for Easter. They are 17 and 13. I think NEVER TO OLD. He is just trying to cop out. I am the one that ALWAYS plans and dream up all the presents for EVERY occasion.

My boys are 16 and 19 and I still get them a little something for Easter, Valentines Day, etc. They're still my babies :goodvibes

I don't think so . . .my kids are almost the same age and there will be easter baskets w/candy on easter morning . . .

I had a visit from the easter bunny every year until I left my parents house at age 20.

No, of course they're not too old for Easter!!! My daughters are 12 and 17, and they would be extremely disappointed if they didn't get an Easter basket. As a matter of fact, two years ago, when they were with their dad and stepmom for Easter, I didn't get a SECOND basket for our house (I was out of town) and they were a little disappointed that I hadn't. Not because they missed out on some candy, but because it didn't feel like our traditional Easter. This year they are at their dad's again, but I'll have baskets waiting for them. Actually, I found some adorable vinyl tote bags, so that's what I'm giving them, filled with shampoo, body wash, etc. (and OK a little candy!). I think they'll enjoy that.

NEVER too old!!!!!!!

My mom "cut me off" at 12. My kids are 14 and 11. So far, I'm still doing the Easter basket thing but, I must confess, it's getting a little old.

My oldest is 14. I wouldn't dream of not giving her a basket. I was never in to too much candy. I always put little trinkets in there. Sunglasses, stickers and such. Now that she is older she gets nail polish, note pads and of course a little candy (gotta have a chocolate easter bunnie that you can rip the ears off and dip in peanut butter). I think she would be disappointed if I cut her off. I got an Easter Basket at my parents house until I finished high school. I plan to carry on that same tradition with my three children.

I will be 40 this year...and DANG IT! I want an Easter Basket! :teeth:

I don't think you are ever too old to give and recieve love from someone (even if it happens to be covered in chocolate! ;) )

I'm 22 and I still get an Easter basket. :guilty: Saying you're too old for Easter is like saying you're too old for Disney. Impossible! As long as you're still breathing, you can eat candy ;)

Thanks everyone. I just asked my DD17 if shes too old and she said no way,and she still wants a Easter egg hunt. Now heres another question.

What should I buy? :confused3 :confused3

My kids are 18 and 16, and they INSIST that DH and I still hide candy all around the house on Easter!

So I obviously don't think your kids are too old for Easter.

Nope, I'm 21 and my sisters are 18 and 16. We still get stuff for Easter. In fact, our mom (or should I say the Easter bunny? :teeth: ) still hides our baskets. I actually had a conversation like this with a few of my classmates the other day, and we're all 21ish, and one girl said how she has sisters who are in their late 20s, and their parents give them clues every year that lead them to their Easter basket. She also said how when she brings friends home, they get one too, and they're so excited to look for their treats.

So no, I don't think you can be too old. :) ;)

I'm 43 & my mother is still making me an Easter Basket...but she is crazy.

I kind of like those crazy moms. :teeth: I expect to be one someday. :rotfl: My DS(14) still gets an Easter basket & a visit from the Easter bunny. I expect him to still be getting those, when he's 44+. Only then, I'll probably be doing baskets for a DIL & grandkids too. My DH & 4 legged baby girl both get Easter baskets every year. Guess who's the only person in our family that doesn't get one.

Never too old! My mom got easter baskets and even hid eggs until she died, when I was 23 and my brother 25. I introduced the "grown-ups" egg hunt to dh's family and, while they seemed to think I was nuts at first, they ended up loving it! We use plastic eggs and put candy in some and scratch-off lottery tickets in others.

Have fun!

NEVER! DH is 44, DS is 22, and DD is 19 they still get Easter baskets followed by church and lunch and an occasional egg hunt!

Nope, never too old. I make a basket for my DH and he does one for me as well. We both enjoy doing the egg hunt and making baskets for our 2 DS's, too.

I imagine that when the kids are grown and they have their own families, we'll continue doing what we do right now :)

You are never to old. My 4 kids still get them and they are 23 to 34. Plus DH, me,my mom & dad, my brother 45. Nope never to old. We even have an egg hunt. Yeah, we like Easter! The grandbabies get them too, almost forgot. :lmao:

Never too old!!!! I got an Easter basket every year until I left for college. Since then I've never been home for Easter since we never got time off for it, but my mom still sends me an Easter package of random stuff. She's been getting desperate for ideas lately and sent me a singing hamster last year  along w/ the standard Peeps and Cadbury eggs of course ;)

I always had an Easter egg hunt too- once I got older they were filled w/ change (or sometimes even a dollar! :Pinkbounc ) or candy or something.

You're never too old for a visit from the Easter bunny!! Last year I even made a basket for DBF's mom. Everyone loves an Easter basket ;)

My kids are 15 and 17 and I will be getting them some things for Easter. It's become a tradition for them to receive a kite, a solid chocolate rabbit and a movie. They get other small items also, but those are the same from year to year. Though, this year, I will probably give them a GC to Circuit City and let them pick out their own movies. My daughter wants the latest Harry Potter but I don't have a clue which movie to get my son. Another traditional candy are the chocolate footballs. At least that's what we call them.

My son will be in college next Easter and I'll probably send him an Easter goodie box.

I'm 27 and my DH is 30 and we both get Easter candy from my mom. :teeth:
