To late for a grocery stop?

Our flight gets in at 8:30 pm. Does anyone know around how long we will be at MCO before we can finally get rolling with our transportation company? We have chosen Murray Hill and I've read here that they are wonderful, the thing is we will need that all important grocery stop and I'm afraid all the supermarkets might be closed. We will be staying at Pop Century.
Thanks,
Kristina

Call your transport company for the list of grocery stop options. I would believe they have stores you can stop at that are open well past 8:30pm--some probably open 24 hours. 8:30pm would seem an awfully early close time to me in Orlando!

I don't think you will have any problem. You should be on your way from MCO no later than 9:30pm. Most grocery stores will be open to 11pm and some will be open 24 hours. As another poster said, just ask your transportation company.

I have posted the same question last week on this and the Disney board. Some suggestions were the 24 hour Wal-Mart and Wal-Greens (if they are on your route). Wal-greens does have some essentials.

Thank you :D. I will go ahead and email Murray Hill about it. Good to know we shouldn't be at MCO for to long, I hate that we are getting in so late. I hope we get to go to a Publix, they seem to be lower priced. Wow Wal-Mart would freak me out, if I only had 20 or 30 minutes to shop ::yes::, I love that store!

I suggest the Publix Xentury City Center store at 2925 International Drive just south of the Gaylord Palms hotel. It is open until 11pm. Here is a link http://store.publix.com/publix/cgi/site?site=00570&address=

I love Publix! Do you think that would be out of the way if we are going to the Portofino Bay Resort from MCO? I was told all grocery stores close at 10:00. I thought that kind of early. If our flight doesn't get in until 9:30, that may be calling it close.

Publix stores around WDW close at 10:00 p.m.

The Winn-Dixie that's just north of the Crossroads (Goodings) Center is open every night till midnight.

Remember the limo companies aren't going to go miles off their route or go to a place like WalMart that will take a long time just to check out for a free grocery stop.

Get the address of your resort and then go to the supermarket website. Type in the address and you can see what stores are open. Talk to your limo company, even if it costs you a bigger tip you may be able to make a stop.

If you're staying in a resort with a full kitchen (DVC, timeshare) you probbly want a real gorcery store. If you only want soda, water, beer and some "fun" food mini-marts and stores like Walgreens and CVS may be all you need.

The two Publix stores closest to WDW both close at 11PM. One is the Xentury City store at 2925 International Drive near Old Town at route 192 and the other is the Poinciana Place store at the intersection of route 535 and 192 at 2915 Vineland Road.

Albertson's at 12981 South Orange Blossom Trail is open until 1am.
