To Julie and Corey

I haven't listened to the podcast yet, but after reading these posts, I wanted to send you guys a hug. You are truly blessed, and I can only say I'm in agreement with everyone else who've posted on this thread.

Ditto

I am truly inspired by the grace, strength and gratitude with which you lead your lives and I wish your family much love, health and happiness! You are wonderful parents. Enjoy your perfectly wonderful little boy!

Here! Here! :thumbsup2

Julie and Corey,

Moreover, I find solace in that you are surrounded by remarkable and giving friends/family (e.g. The Dis Team, the Pod Squad, and your Parents)!!!

“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible -- the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.” ~ Virginia Satir

God Bless. Enjoy that little baby!

I just wanted to echo the thoughts here...the three of you are a perfectly matched family...

Can't wait to see you guys again in just a few short weeks!! And to meet baby Ferris for the very first time!!

Bless your little family.

As I'm sure you know, early intervention is the key. I was glad to hear that your little one was already benefitting from various therapies. (I am a Speech/Language Pathologist.)

With your support, Ferris will thrive, and he will be meeting his milestones before you know it.

Take care, and know that you are in our family's thoughts and prayers.

Dear Corey and Julie,
Thank you for sharing your lives with us, I hope you feel all of the love and support we have for you. Your attitudes are simply inspiring. As a physical therapist, I have been priveldged to work with many people with DS, they have been a blessing and an inspiration to me, special angels. Many of us have been praying for you since we found out you were expecting, those prayers for continued health and happiness will continue!

Ferris has a wonderful set of parents:grouphug:

Julie and Corey, after listening to today's podcast, I realized even more than I knew before, that you two are amazing people. I have attempted to imagine how my wife and I would react with the news of Ferris' diagnosis of Down's syndrome and come away in awe of your strength. I am so proud of both of you.

It is also great that Ferris has so many wonderful Godmothers (Pete, Walter, Kevin and John) ;) to support you!

Just wanted to say that I feel like everyone else on the board - hugs and kisses to all of you :goodvibes

Corey & Julie,

I really couldn't say anything more heartfelt than what has already been said. So many of the posts here have brought tears to my eyes as well. I also believe that special children are placed with special people. The Higher Power (whomever you believe that is) does have a say in who goes where. I've seen so many examples of that in my own life.

I wish nothing but love and happiness in your life with your beautiful son. He'll be a treasure in so many ways!

ps. I have to say though that when you said you had an announcement, I thought you were going to say you were pregnant again. It happens...:cutie:

Congratulations on the birth of your little one!

My mom taught down syndrome babies and children for her entire career as a speech/language therapist. Even though she's been retired for many years now, and she is a busy lady with lots on her plate, she goes back to her old school and works/helps every spring because she loves spending time with those kids kids so much! So that shows you something about how wonderful she found them to be.

I know from years & years of hearing her talk about her work that when the kids have loving, attentive parents it makes all the difference... you are off to a great start!!

:sunny:

I just wanted to say how lucky Ferris is, and wish you all the best.:hug::hug:

Parenthood is the greatest challenge in life but also the most rewarding.
All the best to your family of 3!

I am truly touched by all the love and support that has poured out from our listeners. Ferris is a lucky little guy to have so many people praying for his health and happiness! :hippie:

For those of you going on the cruise, look out because he is so cute you can't stand it! :goodvibes

We had a Mommy/Baby outing today to DTD. I was shopping at Tren-D for Taylor's bday presents and he was a perfect angel! :cloud9: I love all the attention he gets when we are out and about!

Such a proud little Mama, and deservedly so! I love it, so cute! :lovestruc

How fun, btw. I LOVE that store!! Even more so for the decor than just the merchandise. We have a new store here at DL with a similar feel and merchandise, the Fortuosity shop on Main St. It's really cute, it's just much, much smaller and a bit more Victorian (because of the previous store's theming). Hopefully you'll get to see it this June ;)

I'm sure everyone agrees, but its our pleasure! Each child is special and each day we get to spend with them is just as special. I really think the love we have for a child is unmatched and unexplainable. It sounds like you really understand that and understand how truly blessed you are in life. I can't wait to meet you, Corey and Ferris. Oh and show you what a really cute 4 yo girl looks like. She is the cutest one on the planet by far!! (4 yo that is)

Speaking of Tren-D Julie...great Store Tours on that store :thumbsup2 I am totally psyched to go when we are down there for our trip this summer :woohoo:

I loved taking Rachael out for the first shopping trip. We went to the mall and she was so great! She's turning 6 next mo. but it's still one of my (million) fondest memories!

What fun, I bet he does get a TON of attention. What are the prices like at Tren-D, I don't remember reading about prices and am wondering if they are super high, can't wait to shop there!
Have a GREAT weekend!
Lesley
