Haha your kid is too cute!! You did say healing was your specialty, so I know you'll come back stronger! Also, if your going to get injured you picked the perfect time![]()
Thanks! I do believe healing and injury avoidance have been things I've been good at and this new obstacle will just be a new test for me. And agreed, there really couldn't have been a better time to take some extra rest days if necessary. There is no pressure for running the Dopey and as I have said from the beginning when running Dopey: "If I'm healthy, then I'll go all out. But if I'm injured, what better place to enjoy a nice easy race then Disney with its sights, sounds, character stops. The things I tend not to gravitate towards when normally running Disney would then change to become my main focus. Having that option of RACE or DO DISNEY is one of the big reasons why I enjoy WDW marathon weekend so much."
Well, that's good news a fracture didn't show up. Does it feel any better today? I would think if it was a fracture it would still hurt bad today but personally don't have a clue as never had fractures just muscle shin problems. And what kind of dog is in the picture above, cairn terrier?
Agreed! It definitely feels as if it is improving. Sunday after the race it was no walking without assistance, then about 10 hours later it was walking without assistance but in pain, then Monday it was walking with some pain, and then today has been walking with some pain but not as bad as yesterday.
We aren't entirely sure what type of dog Lucy is. We got her from a rescue and she was advertised as a ****-zu and Yorkie. But she has definitely outgrown that prediction. We're thinking some cairn terrier, ****-zu, and wiener dog but definitely nothing definitive.
