DH has decided we are most likely taking a vacation the end of March. We will be driving from PA to FL to stay with his sister (with a 10 month old in a minivan, if anyone has suggestions on keeping our sanity during the drive...). Anyhow, he called her tonight to find out when she has off work and if it would be okay with her, etc. Well it turns out the week she has off she is planning on taking her kids to DW. I gave DH the puppy dog eyes and he said we would probably tag along (he could live without DW). And now I don't know if I want to. Nothing against his sister or the kids but I'm just not sure if I want to spend the money to go right now. We are planning a trip next June with the stepkids and I'm just not sure if I want to take DD now. I know she will be fine and probably even enjoy it. But honestly, I think I am unsure about taking her for her first trip to DW without her big sister. I know she won't remember anything and it will all be brand new for her next year but it's the idea. I think I may talk to DH about DTD or a waterpark and dinner at a resort. Sometimes it really sucks to be an adult and take the feelings of others into consideration.

I live in Connecticut and we drove down last Sept and plan on doing it again this year, we have a 10 and4 and I think the ticket to your sanity is leave at night, my DH works nights so sleeping during the day is no biggie for him we left at 10:00pm and arrived in Virginia Beach around 7:30 am and the girls were just waking up we spent 2 days there visiting friends and then got up around 5:00 am and drove to St Augustine and made it in 10-12 hours, spent the night there and then drove the next day the 45-1hour to disney. Now about going to Disney w/out the others that is totally up to you, either way you will have a good time there is plenty to do what about doing Sea World or Busch Gardens? Im sure you will find something to keep you busy, have fun and enjoy :) :) :flower3:

Being that she will be under a year old.. I don't think it'll be a big deal bringing her along for the fun. It'll be a much bigger experience when you all go next june and your DD will not even remember the previous trip. Go, have fun! She'll have fun with big sis next time.
