To-GO food at buffet for child that won't eat

At the buffets if you get your dd a plate of food and she doesn't eat it, I'm sure the servers wouldn't object to to you putting it in a bag to take away with you since the plateful would be thrown away anyway which seems such a waste.

We did it with our ds last year, he was only 14 months and just nibbled on a few bites of this and that. I took my own lunch bags and boxes and just slipped the box into his changing bag. The servers were fine with this.

We go to buffets, and she eats little or nothing, and we pay for her regardless. I'm always afraid at WDW, cause those meals are quite a bit more expensive. What I do is not allow her any desert until she eats at least a bit of her dinner. We ask when we sit down if she can have her drink in a paper cup with a cover (since she might drop the glass). When she gets to desert, hopefully she has a cookie or piece of fruit on her plate that she can walk out eating, along with her drink, which is already in a to-go cup. We always make a grocery stop in the beginning of the trip, and pick up the individual servings of apple sauce, bananas, water, bagels, peanut butter, crackers, etc. Anything that travels well, and she can munch on in between CS, snack, and TS on the DP, LOL! This year we'll be doing the fridge swap, so we'll get some yogurt & cheese for the room, which are her favorite snacks. Disclaimer: We really don't need to buy groceries when we're on the DP, but at least this way, we can avoid waiting on line for snacks at the worst times.
