So our kids are at the age of school years now, and school breaks are our best options. We went in February this year and I'm trying to plan next year now. Our options are February or Easter breaks - I prefer Feb solely because it is not Easter time but if we go at Easter my husband accrues more time off...I'm terrified of those Easter crowd levels ruining our time. Those who have experienced Easter week (before or after) how is it now? True opinions! Thank you!!!

Our vacations are determined by school breaks also, so we're always in peak season. We went to WDW during Easter Break for 10 days in 2014. Yes, it was crowded but it wasn't the worst I've seen. We went to Disneyland this year for just 3 days and found Disneyland this year to be a lot more crowded than Disneyworld last year. I will never go back to Disneyland during Easter again.

We went over Easter 2 yrs ago and it was very crowded, but doable. The parks opened early (7:00 or 8:00 AM) and we were there before opening every day. A lot of people just don't get up early when they're on vacation, so we got a ton of stuff done each morning.

We left the parks after lunch when the crowds were crazy - wall to wall people and a 45 min wait for the Swiss Family Robinson tree house kind of crazy! After a break at the resort, we headed back out for dinner and some more park time.

Between getting to the parks early and using FP (this was before FP+), we never waited longer than 30 min for anything. Although that week wouldn't be my first choice, I wouldn't hesitate to go that week again if it was my only option.

I've done Easter time too. The weather is beautiful!! Rope drop, break at lunch time, back in the evenings. Works great.
