To camel back or not to camel back?

We love our camelbacks. Everyone has their own, and we wear them to the parks. Load them with ice in the morning, and its an easy way to have cold (for a while) water.

We go every June since we have teachers in the family and it just doesn't work well for other times of the year. What we do is freeze water bottles at night then wrap them in the bottom of my backpack in cooling towels and regular washcloths. As the ice melts you get cold water and the condensation from said melting bottles dampens the towels with cold water to wrap around your neck or just use to wipe face and cool down.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I did want to say that we were there that week in 2019 (also from Texas), and had the same reaction to the heat. That was the most intense temp we have ever experienced on a Disney trip and it was miserable lol, and we have been going to Disney for 10 years in all seasons. I am crossing my fingers that when we go back in 4 weeks we will have normal May Florida temps.

YES!!! It was so hot! When we got back home we were walking our dogs at 7 pm at night instead of 9 pm because the heat just didn't feel too bad after being in Florida!! It was intense! I am use to dry heat, Cali weather and some humidity and high heat but that trip was brutal! We swore we were never going back near that time but here we are

Water is available all over the parks. Lugging around your own personal water supply isn't needed. Carrying extra stuff just makes you sweat more.

another vote for Brita bottles! They really helped with the taste of the water and since we can refill them in many places, it was easy to dump the warm water and refill it. We always had 2 bottles for the 4 of us. I used the squeezable Brita bottles that have a loop at the top so it was easy to attach to a belt or backpack with a carabiner clip.

I think it's totally unnecessary. There are water fountains in every land and even some queues to refill a small bottle. This is coming from a Michigander who visits at all times of year.
