I'd love 1.50, best I can get today is 1.465 Don't go 'til 7th, so hoping it might go up...i'd be better hoping for a miracle! Oh well just 1 less christmas ornament! x

I got my rate with Fair FX on their Pre Paid Master card, their Cash rate it 1.495 if you wanted to try Fair FX?

Fair FX is a great rate, but should also check out ICE Plc as they have a rate of 1.4830 plus you get 1% cash back, so an effective rate of 1.49783 and before you go, come on it's $0.00783 better yeah totally but get this, I topped up with £50 and then they sent me an email today (I activated my cards today) saying in addition "For every £100 loaded onto a Euro or US Dollar ICE Travellers Cashcard before 31st March, we will top-up your Cashcard with an extra £1 absolutely free."

By the way I think Fair FX is a great card also, only went with ICE as I wanted an Emergency Back up Card and I also needed an extra card for my wife plus I wanted no fee's at all for anything like taking my money out of a card machine, no monthly fees etc. Anyway one to think about, just thought I would say.

Should add that additional offer that I got in my email, I don't know if that's everyone gets that after they activate their card or if it's just a newsletter offer, just saying.

Ours came special delivery today from faifx. 1.497. Changed some in town today for my dd off my mom got 1.486. In the past we have always taken around $3000 dollars without ddp this time we have over

I only have to change money for myself this trip, as I'm going with friends. I've been saving for a long time, and so will hopefully have around £1000-£1200 *if* I need it. Hoping not to spend that much of course, but am not going to begrudge myself any shopping Will change some £'s into around $100 in cash at the travel agents/PO/M&S (whatever is most convenient) in the next week or two, just to start me off on arrival.

Your not far behind us then. I cant believe it has come around so quick. Same with us have over $2500 spending but prob wont spend it. Mind you its DB 2 childrens birthday when we come back and I may just have to pop in the UGG and pandora shop.
