we are going to disney in feb we also went in may of last year and we had a wonderful travel agent... well she was also helping us plan this trip ,but has decided to leave and pursue another career. we have evrything done except one major thing, the airfare so far this new travel agent has been very hands off not much communication at all. i have told her time and time again that we need to get airfare done and so far no response. my question is should i wait and see what happens with new travel agen? or should i go ahead and just book myself? what are your thoughts?

Book the airfare yourself. Each airline has its own website plus there is Travelocity and Expedia, Kayak etc. Usually you can save money when you book your own airfare.
The last time I used travel agent to book my airfare was 1999.

Airlines stopped paying a commission on airfare years ago, so Travel Agents charge you for booking your air travel.

Do it yourself.

Ya your travel agent is making nothing off it which is likley why she is not on top of it. That's NO excuse mind you. She's shooting herself in the foot by not helping you in every way she can.

Book the airfare yourself this time and pm me if you want the name of an awesome TA for the future. No it's not me or a family member.

I agree, do it yourself. There isn't any advantage in having a travel agent do it for you.
