To Boma Or Not To Boma,,that Is The ?

Personally Boma is one of my favorites. I like the different variety they have there, and the food tastes really good!

I've only been for breakfast and it rocks!

I did not "hear" one thing you just said because I could not stop staring at SAWYER!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice!

Thank you for your reply, and listening to all of the others giving us such great advice. We will try it,,,,,,,,,why not we are on vacation. Great idea about trying real little samples of things too. Oh, and the help from the chef, good thought.

Thank you again, Goofy

We love coffee, and of course desserts. What was amazing for dessert at Boma??? If you have any recommendations, we could try to look it up in the "pictures of food" threads.

We are not huge fans of the Animal Kingdom and going in September we know it will be hot. I did not know that you could see animals from the lodge, that is really cool.

It is our first time on the dining plan and based on your recommendations I am going to convince our party to try different things because "Now is the Time, Now is the best time of our Lives"......sorry about that, I am just really excited.

Have a great trip everyone and thanks for the advice

I think Boma is one of those really special dining experiences at WDW, meaning it would stand out in any city in the country.

Don't get me wrong, I love WDW dining, but there are only a handful of restaurants that are "world class", like the California Grill. Boma is excellent.

:wave2:
THANKS SO MUCH to everyone for their reply to our "BOMA" question!
We just made our ADR for Boma 9/12/2006
We can't wait to experience everything you have all written about.....
Kinda funny isn't it. :lmao: .........you wait all winter for the warm air and can't wait
till the snow is gone,,,and once you book a Sept. WDW vacation,,you are
counting the days till summer is over.... :rotfl:
Have a magical Day!!!! pixiedust:

QUOTE]

When our waiter at Jiko discovered that we wer trying Boma later in the week he told me that the zebra domes were "to die for"...I agree 100%. There was also some sort of coconut bread pudding or cocnut something that was outstanding...it disappeared very quickly...

Okay guys, how come I can't quote just part of a post without looking funny....what am I doing wrong?

Love Boma, I'm neutral on the Biergarten, never been to the Concourse but a friend had a horrible experience there recently.

Boma is unique but the food really isn't all that weird or anything. Mainly there are plenty of things that make you say "wow, that's interesting...." and plenty of variety that you can find things you like. I love their soups! And their desserts...yum.

BOMA!

Funny you should mention the concourse steakhouse. We went there last Oct. (Hubby and I). Service was TERRRRRRIBLE! Plus we sent back our food that came out totally WRONG and left!

We haev been to BOMA twice and NEVER had any problems and loved every bit of it! My husband is so picky and it was his idea to return. I think if you go on a Wed. or a Sat. they have ribs! They are so good and spicy! YUM!

We visited Boma a couple weeks ago for dinner after reading all the posts on this board. I was not disappointed. It was my favorite place and definitely worth the trip to AKL.

:wave2: :grouphug: We are really looking forward to the trip to AKL.........thanks for the reply!
I remember the first time we took a Disney Bus to the Wilderness Lodge..It was also worth it, and now Whispering Canyon is one of our favorites......I hope Boma will be added to that list also
Thanks again
Long Live the Dis Threads :yay:

:rotfl2: I love your title. In my husband's world to not Boma would be blasphemy!!! Everyone should Boma and Boma often....

Go and enjoy you will not be disappointed!!!

Also, for us we make Boma a whole experience. From spending the day at Animal Kingdom Park, taking the bus to the lodge, looking around the lodge and making our way out to the Savannah outlook to see the animals. Then we eat, do some shopping at AKL and make our way back to our resort. It can be a very enjoyable day......

We are adventurous eaters and we loved it. Great food, best we have had at Disney. Boma is a great, great deal. We could not get that quality food at home for $25. The Chef came to our table (our kid had food allergies at the time) and the Chef was wonderful.

WoW!!!!!!! almost 10 years between trips!!!!How did you do it?!?!?!?
I have to say,,,In the "old days" when we were planning trips, we would send for the old video's and watch them every day planning ...............now I really like the threads here so much more than the Disney Planning DVD.
The Best you have had at Disney????I can't wait....only 99 more days
Thank You :tinker:

My sister and I have ADR's at Boma on September 20th. I also was a little hesitate about eating here because of the fear of strange food choices. After reading this thread, I am looking forward to our dining experience at Bomas. It sounds like they can even satisfy us picky eaters. ;)
