I'm about 2 1/2 hours futher north than you, Lanshark. I stay in as much as possible this month.


I get a daily pollen forecast emailed to me.

Today's allergy levels for my area of GA:
High (9.1 on a scale of 0-12)

Today's predominant pollen:
Maple, Cedar/Juniper and Alder.

The pollen levels for Tuesday will be falling in the moderate range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this decrease is due in part to falling temperatures,strong winds and heavy rains in the morning and evening which tend to wash pollen out of the air. This will improve your outlook if you have allergies and enjoy the out of doors.

Rain usually makes my allergies worse though.

I heard it on the news this morning but I believe there is a number you can call to give you the count.

HIGH - Pollen levels between 8.1 and 12.0 tend to affect most individuals who suffer from the pollen types of the season. Symptoms may become more severe during days with high pollen levels.

In my area it's

Monday - 11.6
Tuesday - 10.0
Wednesday - 11.8
Thursday - 11.3

This morning my car had a green powdery film all over it that blew off as I pulled out of my driveway. Knock on wood, pollen seems to have no effect on me, but clogs Pete up pretty badly.

They say that the heavy yellow/green pollen (Pine) that covers Atlanta in the spring doesn't bother most people because it is large pollen (whatever that is).
