There are more and more DISers asking multiple DISigners for the same item. We ask that you do your research and then ask ONE of us. Or start your own thread for multiple DISigners to respond.

I feel like I have done nothing but waste my time when I do DISigns and then a couple days later check out other DISigners' threads and find the same requests.

I am getting frustrated about how to convey the importance of reviewing the stickys at the top of the forum.

Many requests are not properly formatted or are missing the details needed to provide you with the best DISigns possible.

Please carefully determine if you are providing enough information for us to work with.

Quite a few DISers indicate that they saw the perfect DISign yesterday or last week or recently or once upon a time.

They don't bookmark it or save it in any way and then start a thread to ask where it is and who made it.

Please come up with a method of keeping track of images that you like and may want to use for your next trip or event.

I personally have created folders on my hard drive where I save such images (many give me inspiration). Each folder is named for the DISigner....so I have folders for Pat, Natalie, Millie, RumblyTumbly etc.

I also have bookmarks with DISigners on my bar of my browser for Photobucket, 4shared, imageshack, etc. homes for our wonderful DISigners. You can also visit the Meet the DISigners sticky to find these if you elect not to bookmark.

You can also get a flashdrive dirt cheap and save images there if you don't want to copy out to your hard drive...

Come up with your own method....it may be more brilliant than mine!

I just wanted to let you know I did read the sticky's and have tried to follow the rules. I did find a few designs that I loved wrote down all info, then went back to the "Meet the DISigns" thread found her instructions to request but it was closed, upon more searching she is not doing designs anymore. I did look though all the others and didn't find anything that really stuck out like hers did. Which is why I did make a new topic asking for help.

anyway I just wanted to let you know that some people do read the rules, and sticky's so it is not a lost cause.

I know that the frequent reminders aren't necessary for the majority of our good DISers and I appreciate you making every effort to find the information you need. DISigners do come and go so sometimes DISers are disappointed to find that the DISign that was so perfect for their needs is no longer available for personalization.

Starting your own thread is perfectly the right thing to do when such assistance is needed and DISigner is inactive now.

Again, thanks for acknowledging that the sticky threads are read and have a use.

1. please read the title of any thread and any instructions in the rules posts....generally post #1 of the thread.

2. Please do not post a request to an old thread that has seen no activity in years. I am frankly tired of pointing out that the DISer needs to see that the DISigner has not posted to the thread in many months or even YEARS!

You should start your own thread instead with details for what you are looking for.

3. Read the How To, Creative Boards Welcome and Meet the DISigners stickies if you are new to the forum!

Please do not ask for a very specific new DISign and then decide to ask for modification so that you can pick later between very different images.... or when you just change your mind


You should prepare your request when you know what you want....

I, for one, feel my time is wasted.

We do DISigning on our own time and for free and this causes much frustration to a DISigner...

for this Christmas (2013) we are surprising my grandparents with a trip to DisneyWorld next Christmas (2014) but I need the fake tickets before Christmas this year which is in less than 8 days. If anyone could make ones or help me out, I would appreciate that.
I need one to have Grandma on it and the other to have Papa or Grandpa. We are going around Christmas so the theme could be Christmas if you would like. and our arrival date is Winter 2014. Thanks for reading!

Please do NOT hijack or piggyback onto a thread that another DISer started.

If the requests for the originator of the thread have been fulfilled, post your request to the DISigner that created what you like!

I will close out hijacked threads when I see them in an effort to get requests posted where they should be.

I have been indicating what I am doing but eventually I may have to stop this practise if the hijacking gets too frequent

please make sure the DISigner is active before posting a request for them...I am seeing more and more posts on inactive threads, many inactive for YEARS.

also start your own thread if it looks like the DISigner hasn't posted in months or years....
