I am fairly sure it was the Tommorrowland Terrace in 1972. The first actual restaurant was Chef Mickey's in 1991 (my 1st stay on property), it has been our traditional 1st nighter ever since.

I can't remember the first place I ate but I remember my first character meal...The Empress Lilly (January 1983...age 8) with and . I couldn't remember the name of the but a fellow diser refreshed my recollection. I wish Disney hadn't changed it. I would love to take DS for his first trip, but we'll celebrate his 2nd B-day at CP this June.

First ever was Tony's--First character was Crystal Palace

Last time (Jan 06) we went to Biergarten first. Yummy!

Don't remember from trips when I was young w/my parents, but my first meal w/DH in 1999 was at Portobello Yacht Club. Haven't been back since!

1st time was just last February (06). We decided to outrun the blizzard and DROVE vs trying to catch a flight the next day ... boy were we glad cause we would have missed two days in WDW!!!!

Anyway, arrived at the same time we would have had we flown and after check-in at the WONDERFUL Poly, we headed over to Epcot. We were HUNGRY and DH and I ate at the CS I had planned for that time:

Electric Umbrella! -- we really liked the chicken strips! And our cookie and brownie were transportable (one was wrapped in plastic and the other we wrapped in napkins) -- and we ate them later at our hotel. YUM.

Ahh - first family trip- I had not been back to WDW since it was just MK & Epcot (hee hee - know my age )
I can not remember what was first meal when I was a kid - who knows the names of places your parents take you to

But our first family trip - room not ready at CR - 10:30 am wandered into MK with the family all new to WDW- we were hot, tired, we were awake since 3 AM EST - so we went to Comic Rays - A/C, great burgers and fries, water, dessert - The family was now ready to see part of MK before finding their beds at CR.....then slept for a while and had dinner at 1900 Park Fair.

Now 1900 Park Fair is always our first place for dinner on day 1

Neat thread! Caseys 1994, I'm not sure if that's what it was called then. I wasn't obsessed my first trip and didn't even notice the name. Now I write details on napkins and take photos

Akershus (pre-Princess). That was the restaurant that got us hooked onto Disney dining!

We took a cab from POR to OKW and ate at Olivias! There wasn't a restaurant at POR because they were making it into some convention center or something. When they were combining Dixie Landings and POR. Anyway, we didn't feel like eating fast food for our first meal.
We haven't been back there since, maybe our next trip. I remember it being tasty and the kids enjoyed it.

Biergarten! We just loved it. We are going back, for our first night. Boy, I can't wait!

We grabbed a quick meal that the POP food court, but the real 1st meal, I would count was at Chef Mickeys!

If my memory is correct (it was 1974) we ate at King Stefan's Banquet Hall - now known as Cinderella's Royal table - I remember eating Beef Barley soup. It was so impressive and of course that was long before ADRs existed. I don't remember a long wait. My kids first restaurant was Whispering Canyon Cafe - my daughter (10 at the time) was mad we took the time to eat before going to the park!

Were going back into the 80's here. There was a Kikkkoman restaurant in Adventure Land that I remember eating at and enjoying the food.

Also lunch at the Diamond Horseshoe Review, great sandwiches and a great show too.

Then there was always Casey's. Nothing like a hot dog when you were hungry.
