? to All. What was the 1st place you ate at WDW?

Our first trip to WDW, our first day at the parks...morning was spent at MK with lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. DH loved it there and was impressed--even by that!--that my pre-trip planning had perhaps been worth it!

Our first visit to WDW (for DD and I) was in March 2003. We were staying with a friend, who had a "commando" day planned for us at MK, ending with a Fantasmic Dinner Package later that night.

We had 8am ADRs at Chef Mickey and dinner at Hollywood and Vine!

Who would have "thunk" just a few months later we would live here!

Tony's Town Square. When our kids were little, that was always are first stop. It just always started the magic for us. Now, they won't even consider it.

Tony's Town Square for us, too, in 1989 when our children were 8 and 11. I recall that no one was wild about it. The kids had pizza, but didn't like it. I had the vegetable lasagna only because they didn't have "real" lasagna. My DW did like what she had, a pasta dish as I recall. My DW and I have returned over the years for lunch mostly. The food has gotten better there as it has all over WDW. That first year it seemed that everything we ate came in a basket with fries. ;)

Our first trip was in Jan 1997. Our first meal was breakfast at the Caribbean Beach food court. We went to MK and our first meal there was lunch at Pecos Bills. That seems so long ago!

Jan. 1972, Grand Canyon Terrace (?), Contemporary.

Tony's .
30years ago it had a Character Breakfast. The best Mickey Mouse pancakes.
Covered the whole plate and looked exactly like Mickey smiling up at us.

good memories ;) ;)

The Tangaroa Terrace. Oh how I loved that place. :)

Back in 1982, we stayed at The Americana Dutch Resort in Lake Buena Vista, then the name changed to Grosvenor I believe, not sure if it is still that or if it changed again, don't really care it was horrible..LOL
We had breakfast there at their equivalent to a "fast food" type restaraunt. I remember my dad wanted to go there because the more upscale restaraunt in that hotel didn't open as early (5:30 am ..yuk!). And he needed his coffee!
Well it sure was fast food alright ..all we could get were donuts or toast. Boy times have sure changed since then..LOL
I loved this question...we lost my dad this past November, and trying to remember where the first place we ate at brought back tons of wonderful memories from that trip !!!!

My family's was Cosmic Rays. It was a great place to cool down and get away from the crowds :crowded: during the last week of June 2004.

Ours was back on our honeymoon in 96 at Narcoossee's.

Chef Mickey's in 1994. Goofy sat down and played Thomas trains for a long time with my then two year old (now 13 1/2)...magical...

I am not counting our honeymoon in 1985 or other vacations as I don't remember the "first" of those. I just remember once we started bringing the kids...

Our first trip was Nov 2005 and our first night we saw Hoop De Doo... what a great way to start our trip :thumbsup2

Our first dinner was at Ohana's. We walked out of the Polynesian stuffed like a bunch of thankgiving turkeys- Disney doesn't leave you going hungry. Our waiter, Cousin Joe, was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't remember my first from childhood...but the first place DH and I ever ate table service was Rose and Crown in England. It wasn't inspiring at the time.

The first ADR I ever made was for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. DS was 2 and we had seen the Unwrapped WDW...had to get my little boy in there to meet Mickey.

Since then? Wow. Countless...!

1976 -- My aunt and uncle lived in Kissimmee. We came down to visit and I remember eating Sunday breakfast (I seem to remember it was a buffet) at the Polynesian. My dad said it cost $3.50. :goodvibes Oh, those were the good old days!

2003 - Fultons Crab House. Our honeymoon. Neither of us had much to eat at the wedding, minus a few bites of the filet and the piece of cake we fed each other. We left for Florida the morning after we got married - and we dont eat on days we are going to fly until we get to our destination. WE WERE STARVING! It was great to finally eat. Everything was succulent and filling. It was wonderful.

Our first dining experience was in MGM at Backlot Express. We were starving and it was the closest place around, lol. With a grumpy grandpa and two hungry kids, we couldn't be too picky. We had dinner at H & V, admittedly much better than our lunch:)
