? to All. What was the 1st place you ate at WDW?

Our 1st meal ever was breakfast with the Princesses at CRT in the MK. I guess, if you're gonna go to WDW, you should start it out with a bang. It was great, but beacuse of the changes we decided to do PSB this trip instead. But, it WAS magical!

Breakfast at the Main Street Bakery... still one of our favorite places!

It was in the early 80's sometime-it was the Tomorrowland Terrace and my parents LOVED this band (the Tabasco's) that would perform on the stage that rose up from beneath the restaurant..... :rotfl: :rotfl:

My very first trip to WDW was a trip in 1990 with my parents. We stayed offsite at the Hyatt (I don't think this Hyatt exists anymore), and just went to Epcot and MGM. We went to Epcot first. We ate lunch at the Coral Reef at Epcot, and lunch at 50's Prime Time at MGM. I remember really liking Coral Reef, but not really 50's Prime Time. I can't recall any counter service meals from those two days. Memories!

My first 'real' trip (i.e. staying on-site). Our first meal was breakfast at Roaring Forks in WL. I had an egg sandwich that wasn't great. I had a citrus swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace as a snack. Dinner that first day was at Arist Point. I believe we napped through lunch since we took a red eye flight.

I wanna go back!

For me it was at the Grand Floridan Resort for the Cinderella dinner...I believe the resturant was called 1900 Park something or another...

In 1988, on our very first trip to WDW, we ate at the Character Cafe on the Grand Canyon Concourse. It was an all-you-can-eat prime rib buffet at the time. Years later, it was changed to the Contemporary Cafe, which was then an all-you-can-eat international buffet. Of course, today, it is chef Mickeys.

1983-Lilly Belle (now Fulton's) at what is now DD. My friend and I had been on Ca arnivale cruise and added WDW. We went to the Lilly Belle and felt very grown up for our 23 yrs. It was a lovely meal except for near the beginning of the meal a waiter came by and dropped a full pot (and I think it was a silver one) of coffee on our table just missing my head and splashing me with coffee. They moved us to a dry table but didn't even comp us a dessert! Of course, now I know better. :cool1: I don't remember any other meals from that trip-it was a long time ago!

I guess you mean Empress Lilly, named after walt's wife, Lillian

I think it was either the Crystal Palace or King Stefan's Banquet Hall. Considering I was only 4 years old at the time, I am only guessing....

I'll say my 1st trip with now DH. We arrived on Saturday and walked up (I know what were we thinking :rotfl: ) to Rose and Crown and got seated approximatly 2 hours later. This was before the DDP.

Our first was Crystal Palace, we had the best time,we loved the food, pooh and the parade. Ever since then it is on our list of most do's at MK.

Don't miss it too much, its cold here still and you have the heat, you lucky devil.I'm in plymouth and I'm cold

Our first meal was in the MK at Pecos Bill, we had cheeseburgers and cold chocolate milk!

All I can say is that it was the best tasting burger i've ever had...and the fixings bar was awesome!!!

OK...maybe not the best burger. But at the time that is what it tasted like! I guess food tastes better at the Magic Kingdom! :teeth:

Pinocchio Village Haus 1975!

When Chef Mickey's used to be where Fulton's is that was our first WDW restaurant. 1992, neithre DH or I had ever been to WDW and everyoen kept telling us how expensive it was going to be so we had planned on eating only off site--by the third day we said lets just eat here--when the bill came we discovered it was very fair for what we had. After that we stayed on property to eat and regretted our budget hotel as well.

I'll never forget -- Chef Mickey's for dinner. October 1998. We had friends and family with us, and it was the PERFECT way to begin our trip! After dinner, we went to the MK to see the fireworks and SpectroMagic. A truly magical night! :wizard:

We ate at CM and was so glad we did, thanks to this board. We got to see the characters and the kids were so excited. It was a perfect way to start a perfect day. So when we went to MK afterward the kids didn't have to line up to see those characters. It was so exciting that the kids could of gone home at that point
