Fun question for all. Just Wondering where was the 1st place you ever ate in WDW? Mine was Pinocchio Village Haus. This was in 1986. We got a table where we could see the boats from Small world go by thought it was just the best at that time. Keep in mind this was back in the day (before the dis board)before all the great places they have now. Where was your 1st time at? :yay:

1996. We spent our first night at Days Inn Lake Buena Vista Resort (now Sheraton Safari). We got up the next morning and went on property and had the character breakfast at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. The hotel was so impressive but I was a hair disappointed at the atmosphere in Artist Point. There was not a lot of character interaction and the family style food was just okay. We were seated by a window and had an awesome view. This December I finally went to Artist Point for dinner. The place is MUCH better looking after dark and the food was outstanding. It wwas our second mealon property at 'Ohana that had me hooked and it is my favorite restaurant at WDW.

Tony's Town Square. When our kids were little, that was always are first stop. It just always started the magic for us. Now, they won't even consider it.

I honestly don't remember - I was in 1st grade in 1972. But, if I think back to my next trip in '76, I remember eating at the Pappeyete Bay Verandah at the Poly (don't hold me to the spelling guys). ;)

WOW...this is hard. I've been going since before I can remember. My earliest memories seem to be of the Cantina in Mexico, Electric Umbrella and el Pirata Y el Perico. Guess they were my parents favorites.

I was so little that I honestly have no idea. Flash forward about 12 years, I was on Spring Break with my Dad and my then step-mother and we only went to Epcot at WDW. I know that we ate some sort of lunch that day, but I don't remember what it was. I do remember that dinner was at the Coral Reef. Neat atmosphere, but overpriced and highly average food. Flash forward about 15 more years. Gabby and I went for our first trip to WDW together. It was a long weekend Orlando getaway. We only went to DTD, MGM, and a preseason Braves game. It was an awesome trip. I believe that our first meal was at Pizza Planet, but our best meal was at RFC at DTD. Maggie

Crystal Palace - I used to measure how tall my son was according to which stripe he reached on Tigger. That was in 2000, 2002,2004 and now that he is 17, he has informed us that he doesn't want to go this year. My daughter will be 5 this year so I guess we will have to measure her next to Tigger. As you can tell, it's a tradition for us but we'll have to start creating new memories this time.

Ohhhhhhhh... I think the ABC Commissary in Disney-MGM Studios, July, 1989. I had a carrot cake that was *sublime*. The next day we had lunch (some sort of chicken stew in bread bowls) at France; I don't remember what the Bistro was called in those days. And the next day, we had a fabulous prime rib in the place that is now Liberty Tree Tavern.

Would you believe after all that, I didn't like WDW after the first trip? It wasn't until we went back with kids in '96 that I fell in love with the World!

It was quite a few years ago, I was 12 at the time, but it was the Terrace Buffeteria @ CR.

Our first WDW experience ever was dinner at CRT in Sept of 2001. We went straight from check-in at ASMu to the castle. So for our 20th anniversary dinner this year on 9/27, we're headed back to the castle!

We had just arrived, 9 of us and we had gone to Epcot as out first park. It was 2000 and we ate outside to wait for the parade. Loved the parade, forgettable food.

The only Disney restaurant I can remember from my first trip, in 1981, is the Liberty Tree Tavern. The only thing I remember about it is that they had honey butter shaped like Mickey heads. For some reason, though, in my memory we were eating where Tony's Town Square is, but the waitresses were wearing the colonial outfits so it had to be LTT.

I can't remember from my first trip as child, but I have wonderful memories of taking my DH to the Brown Derby in 2003 his first day ever in Disney. Thanks to the DIS boards I head about Lunch with an Animator (now gone, along with the animation studio :sad1: ) and booked it as a surprise. It was two of us with two animators in a private room and we had the most wonderful time. It really set the stage for my DH to get into Disney and all it has to offer, especially the food :thumbsup2.

The old Tomorrowland Terrace, 1972. How's that for a memory?

My first meal as a newlywed was at the Gulf Coast Room in the Contemporary, 1980. Gone, but not forgotten. Cooly elegant place, that.

CRT breakfast! I started trying for the PS the first possible day and got it! I felt sick to my stomach that morning and didn't eat much but I swear what I did eat cured me...felt fine the rest of the day.
