To all the brides with a Cali Grill reception..

So you were able to just hand your WP a cd and they were able to play with no problem or extra charge? How did the music sound during the reception? Was it surround sound and loud enough for everyone to hear? Also since you didn't have any dancing, did you have some sort of other entertainment for your guests?

Yes. OK, I can't swear on my life there was no extra charge (they have a way of sneaking those in), but I don't remember one.

Sounded great. Nice and loud. Too loud, if anything.

Also since you didn't have any dancing, did you have some sort of other entertainment for your guests?

Yes, we used the jazz trio. They played during the pre-reception, and played 40 minutes out of every hour during the reception. We used our CDs to play our favorite music on the sound system during their breaks.

I'm guessing from your last post this maybe too late.. but....

Our reception was in the Napa Room at the Cali Grill and it was unbelievably good.

We chose the Bay Bridge menu, but I HATE goats cheese, so we ditched the ravioli and paid a couple of dollars more to substitute a dish from the extras page - Teriyaki Beef Skewers. These were totally amazing!

In hindsight, we could have just left off that first course, and had the salad as our appetizer - it was incredible - since I was so full I only ate like a mouthful of the lovely desserts!

The atmosphere of the Napa Room is gorgeous. The view is just stunning!

The bar package at Cali Grill is indeed the same as the other bar packages, and well worth it.

Whichever you choose, I'm sure it will be magical

I'm glad you enjoyed your reception! One of the reasons why I orignially wanted to use the Napa Room was because of the view. Do you have any pictures from your reception that you don't mind sharing? I would love to see what the set up is like.
