I was curious if there were any other actors/actress' out there!

And if so, what do you do...
Plays/ Movies/ Commercials/ etc.
And if so, what have you been in?

Little pirate:

Welcome Little Pirate. I have acted in a number of community theater shows. The Unsinkable Molly Brown (I play Princess Delong); Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up (I played Mary Kenny); I was in the chorus for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat; and the only straight (non-musical) role I played was Irene in The Dresser (very depressing play). I do a ton at church, mostly skits, but we have a dinner theater once a year. I love theater. I am 42, so probably won't make a career of it, but would have if I'd found it younger. I may audition for our fall show Big, the Musical or Jesus Christ Superstar in the Spring.

I've auditioned for a movie and some commericials, but I cast really weird. I'm 42, but can pass for much younger. They discount me because I'm too old, but other times I am cast for my age, but don't get it because I'm too young looking.

I was in the local production of The Wizard of Oz when I was 8. I was a munchkin. I received a yellow brick in recognition of my outstanding performance. That's about it. ;) It is 20 years later and I haven't had any more work...I wonder why? ;)

I've only done two plays.

"A Fate Worse than Death" or ; "Adrift on Life's Sea"
I played the ex convint Memphis Masie under cover as a "French" maid.

And actually at the moment I'm at rehearsal for the play I'm doing now.
"The Butler Did It, Singing"
It's a spoof of the play "The Butler Did It." (Go figure, lol)

That's about it. I want to become a broadway star! :rolleyes1

AND!!! Believe it or not, but I'm hopefully HOPEFULLY going to be trying out for American Idol!!!

Yup.

I'm hardly famous LOL

When I was 3 years old, I auditioned and won the part in a Johnson & Johnson shampoo commercial (you know, the old ones where it would get in the kids eyes, they would rub their eyes and say "It doesn't hurt!" LOL ) However, I got antsy and told my parents I didn't want to do it anymore, so we backed out ;)

I was in two murder mysteries in high school. I played a snotty college student in one, and a drugged young lady in the other. Also I was in the musical "Sound of Music" :teeth:

I had a picture of me on stage being the drugged character but I'll refrain from posting :teeth:  I look like a dork

Does performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade count? :rotfl:

I was in a local theater production of "Big River" last year. DD is into acting big time. She was just cast for a part in a movie that is being shot in our area. She is only in one scene, but she has lines! She hopes to do more once we get to Florida. There are more opportunities there than in Missouri.

i've done a lot of shows in high school. I did A Funny thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Cabaret in College.

I'm in a local theatre group and have done a few plays. We are going 'Forum' at the moment teh fish! Then we are doing the Sound of Music in October.
When I was younger I played in bands and orchestras at county (state) level so did a few TV shows with them. We also got paid to record music for the credits of TV shows (not as glomorous as you might think!!)

Well, "I" wasn't actually in the movie, but my car (1926 Model T) was used in BILLY BATHGATE! :teeth: She looked beautiful!!!

When I was 16, I played the part of Ken the distrubed foster child in a forster parent training film. I was also an extra (just a face in multiple crowd scenes in a made for TV movie that filmed in Austin. Those are the only 2 times I have been paid to act. Both were done on a lark.

I used to do a lot of community theater. I once played Will Parker in Oklahoma and Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie. These days I do the occasional skit for chruch, but thats about it.

I've done many little theatre roles in local community theaters. I have never had an interest in doing anything professional. I began doing the roles in 1992.

When I was in 9th grade, I played a pirate in the local youth theater's production of "Pirates of Penzance"

I also appeared in a sketch comedy show (now cancelled) on my campus TV station, and have brief appearances in a sports talk show on the same station.

I realized after doing Pirates that I wasn't cut out for life as an actor (remembering lines is useful). Instead, I became one of "the guys in black". I ran lights for a production of the Wizard of Oz, I've done rigging/construction for an outdoor summer festival a few times, and I'd done a lot of work in TV production.

does karaoke count? I sing at a karaoke bar a few nights a month but I was in a couple of plays in HS and would love to get back in the game

I've been acting for over 16 years. Started in regional theater, moved to commercials (PA Lottery, Sprite, Nike, etc.), movies (Malcom X, 12 Monkeys, etc.) I currently have a speaking part in Jersey Girl (Er nurse). I'm SAG and AFTRA. I have always done this part-time. I'm also a part-time RN. Hubby is a full-time actor (hosted his own tv show for 2 years, movies, commercials, West Wing, Homicide, etc.). We love it!

Started in regional theater as a teen in the sixties. Nothing big tho. I do a lot of community theater now. At least one show every year since the mid-70's. My favorite role? I love being 'the third soprano from the left'!!! I have all the fun of being in the show and no huge responsibilities of learning mega lines anymore!!
